The Right Environment consists of:

1. The right people

2. And surrounding yourself with the right places

And of course as mentioned last week we have more of the foods you love most!

After watching this weeks video make sure you take ACTION and complete the task by getting involved in the blog below and check out the additions to the Cheat to Lose Booklet (accessable from the link below the video).

Geoff yoyr enthusiasm is so contagious. This challenge is just what I needed. I have bought all the ingredients and can’t wait to try out some of the sweet treats. Keep them coming.
      Cheers

Hi there BS and BT kids. Started with BTrim few days earlier on 27/1/10 as knew bodyscult would not get here in time started again after nearly 6weeks of stopping. Am pleased to report lost 4.1 kg by 1/2/10 and today on weigh in 8/2/10 lost 300grams which is not alot but after a huge loss last week still feeling chuffed. BS arrived late this arvo will start it next week as I heard there are no free days and we had pre-arranged special valentines dinner month ago. So good luck to all this week will start the bands, keep up walking ,water, 3×3 i’m too busy these days to think of eating junk from boredom yippeee.

    • Brooklyn Says:

I am soooo amazed and excited at how easy this has been!! I’ve lost nearly 3kg in this first week!! My downfall was going out to meet a friend for coffee at 10:30am – from now on I’ll only meet friends for lunch where I can easily stay on track by having a chicken caesar salad. My husband and I are doing this together, we need it for different reasons but it’s great to be in it together 🙂

I haven’t seen body trim so starting from scratch with sculpt! Still figuring out some of the basics but as long as the results are coming in I’m happy!! 1 week at a time, right now it feels so easy!!

      • Rachel L Says:

I’ve done coffee a twice with people this last week and on both occasions it was at McDonalds!!! One of my BIGGEST weaknesses. I just took homemade protein cookies one time and 1/2 protein bar another time. Depends on if you mind the fact they’ll likely ask you why you are bringing a snack instead of buying cake. I used one of the occasions to rave about the program and how enthusiastic I was to embark on it, my goals etc.

I also order the long black and have 2 equals, makes it nice and sweet, never drank black coffee before starting this program, it’s grown on me nicely.

    • Irene Macpherson Says:

I started the BS challenge yesterday and am following Chris’s food diary from last week as closely as possible, making adjustements to the protein serve sizes. Feeling great….don’t have the BS system as it’s not yet available here in the UK but I have upped my exercise in general so think I’ll do OK.

I would really like if Chris/Geoff could post their food diaries on here every week. Made the choclate ricotta balls from last week’s recipes (among other things) but think they need some sweetener added.

      • Judi Says:

I agree Irene that if Chris could post the weekly food diary it sure would make it easier for me!

I have just completed week one-I loved the week 1 food diary, and like you, followed it as closely as possible, adjusting for female portions.

I have also taken 1/2 protein bar with me when going out for coffee, as Rachel said above, and like her too, have found that I have spent a lot of time telling people what a fantastic program bt and bs is.

I had 2 blips in the week-a birthday party on Sat nite, and birthday dinner on Sun. Managed to keep alcohol to 1-1 1/2 serve per nite, mostly kept away from the party on Sat and didn’t really enjoy the few tastes I did have. I was the cook for Sat, so roast beef and 3 bt salads was on the menu-shame about the icecream birthday cake-just a 1/2 serve for me! Still lost 100gms though.

    • Angie Newman Says:

Have been on Bodytrim since September and had a hit a small plateau in the last few weeks. Got Bodysculpt last week and started on Monday(7th Feb)…had weighed myself on 1st Feb and then weighed in again yesterday…I have lost 2.4kgs since then!!! Plateau? what plateau? LOVE IT!!!! My legs were killing me on Tuesday after doing the squats Monday…no pain, no gain, I say…but all good now and even more motivated to keep on keeping on!

  2. Carol-Lee Says:

Yummy, what terrific recipes for me to enjoy this week. Thanks!

  3. Anita Says:

Thanks for the recipes Geoff, keep them coming!

  4. Kate Says:

I have been very strict with my eating plan and have followed the exercise regime perfectly and still I have not lost even 500g. Feeling very disheartened even though I know it has only been one week. I am also a little crankier than usual as I am not getting my feel good carbs.

    • Amanda G Says:

      Hi Kate!
I too have been doing everything perfectly and have only lost 1k. I try to handle the disapointment by telling myself that if I do that for 10 weeks that will be 10k off and that’s a good thing. Also quite grumpy, very relieved to hear I am not the only one! I am feeling very tired but put that down to not being used to extra exercise. Also down to old age – 51. Anyway hang in there I’m sure we will do better this week.

      • Shelley Says:

Hang in there Trish. If it makes you feel any better, I put on 100g in my first week. Don’t give up, you can do this.

      • Annette Says:

what a fantastic way of putting small losses into perspective! that’s going in my repertoire!

    • Kellie Says:

      Hi Kate,
Hang in there, if you are doing the right things the weight will ocme off. Just make sure you are doing your steps and drinking your water too. I found that I was cranky for about three days, but now have so much energy and feel great most of the time – which can be a challenge with 2 young toddlers! My weight didnt come off easily with the first attempt before chrissy with body trim. But now with bodysculpt it seems to be falling off, and I am full of energy!

Please hang in and get some buddies together to help keep you motivated and for advice. There are some great people on this site. A person called Michelle posts a lot and always has great advice! You will recognise her posts when you see them!

HANG IN THERE – ITS ALL GOOD!
Even if you cant see the results on scales or measurements yet – think of the internal benefits of such a healthy eating plan!

Hope you feel better this week. Feel free to email me as a buddy if you like. I have a few good ones helping me keep on track!

    • Joy Says:

Dont be too hard on yourself Kate. I’ve had weeks on Bodytrim in the past where i havnt budged at all on the scales but you’ve just got to keep your chin up and power on to the next week!! Have you taken measurements as well as weight?? You’ve done a GREAT job on strictly following the eating and exercise part of it so WELL DONE! Keep blogging in and let us know how you go through the week. You’ll get plenty of encouragement, support and inspiration from all of the wondeful people here! 🙂

    • Buddie Says:

      Hi Kate
Don’t get disheartened. It will happen, we are all different and loose weight at different levels. Keep on keeping on it is such a short time 6 weeks so keep at it and I am sure you will get results.

  5. Kaye Bennett Says:

I feel fantastic!! Healthy and strong – it’s amazing cutting out all carbs really does make cravings disappear!! Am absolutely in the zone!!

  6. Luke Newson Says:

    Hi there fellow Body Sculpters!

I guess my struggles comes with social events, I will admit I did have a couple of beers on Friday night at dinner with friends and I guess the lesson #2 really helps with this struggle!

Other than that all is going well and my wife is very pleased with teh results so far!!!

I am also glad to see on the Cheat to Lose meal, my favourite chicken sniztel!!! Yum!

  7. LINDA Says:

Hi I’m feeling really good at the moment weighed in and lost 3kgs so really inspired..keep going everyone we can do it together:)

  8. Joy Says:

    Good afternoon Bodysculpters!!
Well i must say im reasonably impressed with my results so far after week one.
    Weight – 61kg – 59.7kg
    Body Fat% – 25.5% – 24.5%
    Abdomen – 95cm – 94cm
    Hips – 95cm – 93cm
    Thighs – 53cm (no change)
    Chest – 96cm – 94.5cm

Its not a big change, but im glad to of at least put a small dent in my measurements! Im dissapointed in myself for not getting my 10,000 steps in each day last week, so my goal for this week is get up early and get that whip cracking!!! Ive accomplished my steps this morning as well as getting a great workout on my bands! They sure are becoming addictive! I’ve stayed right on tack with my eating and im totally enjoying Chris’s cheat sheet recipes! Nice one Chris! Totally delish!! Im totally “PUMPED” for this 6 week challenge and im looking forward to the week ahead. I hope your all acheiving your weekly goals and enjoying yourselfs so far. Keep up the great work everyone and lets kick some serious ass!!! WooooHoooo.

  9. Peta Knight Says:

Week 1 down and I lost 3.2kg and 15.5cm Way to go.Our little town has biggest loser going so I joined that. I was loser of the week. People commenting that I must have exercised like mad and starved myself. IF THEY ONLY KNEW HOW EASY IT IS WITH BT. I’m fired up for this coming week. All the best to every one.
Remember to lose is to win.

  10. joanne Says:

done everything quite well doing my steps havent started bands yet but thats my next goal didnt loose anything this week but will keep going partner is still loosing which is great well battle on (its not reallya battle)

  11. Belinda Stark Says:

So far so good! Lost 2.4kg in one week, very motivated now.

Can we still snack every hour on protein 50 – 100gm if hungry?

    • Kris Says:

      great loss Belinda..

I presume we can still snack up to hourly.. there hasnt been anywhere that says we shouldnt.. I havent been having as many snacks as usual.. dont seem to be as hungry.. weird.. so i would say.. go for it if you are hungry!

  12. Alan Smith Says:

First week down. Feeling better but has rained every day so walking is down. Still time to go.

    • Rachel L Says:

Same thing where I am, I have a multi storey undercover car park in my town so I can park on the furtherest end and then walk into the shopping centre. Walking around shopping centres is the quickest way to get steps in for me and walk up and down the isles, that gets some extra in also.

Then when I’m home, I regurlarly walk from one end to the other and make sure I go back in to some rooms more than once to get multiple things knowing I could just go in once and pick them all up then.

One day I just got sick of it and took out the biggest umbrella I could find and just went anyway . . . . and got wet!

  13. Gaynor Says:

Great recipes, look forward to trying them.
I have just started the resistance bands today and was confused about where to put my feet as it doesnt show in the video. Are they meant to be together or one slightly in front of the other when using an anchor point??

    • Kerrianne Says:

Hey Gaynor, Keep ya feet at a comfy distance which is usually shoulder width. Have ya knees slightly bent so you don’t have your knee joints locked in. You want the muscles working not the joints. Keep the body strong Bum out chest out where ya can. I don’t think it is a prob to have one foot slightly infront of the other if it feels good for you. After a few sessions you will just get more comfy. Give it a little time espesially if this is all new!

  14. Robyn Straw Says:

Have been missingskinny milk cappuccinos Today I had Vanilla Protein shake with a teaspoon of coffee Perhaps when we go out will have to take the shake with me.
I found the Almond cookies very sweet, next time I make them will only put 1/4 cup Splenda
Thanks for all your help It is so good, every day getting the Blogs. Very encouraging to realise we are all in this together. Keep up the good work.

I am pumped , down 1.7kgs and lost 10.5 cm .. you have to love that and ya have to love BS………… I feel my strength building with the bands ..
I am so Grateful to You Geoff and your team and all the BT/BS Family…
    Love the cheat meals……….. Here to a even a stronger 2nd week … !!

    • Joy Says:

Well done Deb! Thats a great loss, especially with your measurements! I too can feel my strength building up with the bands. Their becoming rather addictive! (Never thought id hear myself say that!) Ive got my jumpstart day tomorrow so im looking forward to trying some more cheat meals.
Keep up the good work 🙂

  17. Leah Says:

Geoff, I love your energy in your video’s, you make me laugh.

Remember everyone, you may be slightly disheartened if you feel that you haven’t lost as much as what you would have liked, but don’t let it get you down, you still have another 5 weeks to go, think positive and stick to it and you will see results.

After my first week I have lost 1.2kls and even though it seems like a low number on the scales, to me it is no comparison in the way that I am actually feeling. I am no longer feeling full and bloated which is making me feel better about myself already.

I did slip over the weekend and have 1 glass of champagne with lunch and 1 chocolate covered strawberry for dessert but I am still totally focused on eating right and exercising.

I can’t wait to see what the next 5 weeks has in stall for me. Good luck everyone and keep up the great work. Thanks for the new recipe’s, they look really nice.

    🙂

  18. kellie allen Says:

hi all great week the rain didnt damper any walks grabed that umbrella and of i went it is great being in the fresh air and not inside a gym ,the bands are definatley a great change to weights did feel a little hungry ,but then checked the portion size of my snacks and for that day my snacks were under size ,and i didnt drink enough water which made a big difference for me .

    • Annie Pannie Says:

Is this Kellie Allen from Celebrant 2u? This is Annie Harris – one of your clients! If so, perhaps we could be buddies?

  19. Alexandra Says:

Made the almond cookies, they were delicious. Just unsure of how many you can have for a snack, I had two biscuits.
Belinda your question re protein snacks-
I will have 50gms of protein every hour if need, we can do this on bodytrim, so I believe we can with BSclpt? Please correct me anyone if this is incorrect, thanks.
Although focussed on this great challenge… due to a number of business and social events this week I succumbed to 2 glasses of red wine!
Have lost 2cms from my waist, all other areas stayed the same. I will weigh in on week 3.
Thanks Geoff and good luck to everyone, let’s do it!

  20. Mel Says:

I also found that I have been bitterly disapointed with the results this week. I have been strict with eating and I have been walking in the rain to get my steps in… My pets won’t allow me to miss a day. I admit that I did stomp my steps out a 5:00am in the morning like a mad woman very cranky and I hope that was no one watching those tauntrums taking place. Thank goodness this BT and BS is addictive otherwise I might have thrown in the towel and I am not that person. I own and run a (high maintenance) business and I am putting the above down to a stressful work week and so glad that BT/BS is a part of my lifestyle now. I still have 17 kgs to lose wondering if I should be doing the BSculpt system with so much still shift?

    • Kris Says:

      hi Mel..
ive still got heaps to lose (more than you) and am doing the challenge. I will do this time frame, and then flick back to BT afterwards..

this is the sprint.. but im here for the marathon…

i lost 1.5kg this week, and am happy with that.. but am sure that the cm loss will be more remarkable for people over the time frame, rather than the kg loss..

remember that our actual aim is to be smaller.. not lighter.. so we shouldnt be too caught up on what the scales say!!

well done for not giving up.. im sure your pets appreciate it!!

maybe do your measurements, or retake the pic to see if there is a difference..

      keep it going

    • Mellyj Says:

      hey mel,
i too have a very busy schedual i have 3 small kids and my husband is in the army and away at the moment, i didnt get great results this week either but have been doing everything down to a t, as well as being tired and grumpy at my kids, i only lost just under 1kg which is dissapointing as i have about 15 to 20kgs to lose, i havent done my measurments which i will do tnight so hopefully i will see results of some kind next week! good luck and keep pressing on, this is our year to see results………..

    • Rachel L Says:

      Mel,

I’m pretty much reiterating what the others have said but don’t be too concerned, I have lots more to loose also than you, 50kg in fact so don’t let the 17kg goal deter you from the challenge. Also remember than your performance indicators of measurements and your visual transformation technique and going to be of more use than the scales in some cases. With muscle weighing more than fat, there’s nothing to say that you aren’t burning that fat away and you just don’t realise it!!!

I’m sure the stress hormones you will be producing as a result of your business at the moment are going to be playing their part. Read (or re-read) the section in the book that deals with this. Also there’s a bit on the DVD, it’s important to know what blocks are being put on you sometimes against your will and sometimes unbeknown!!

      ^___^

    • Melissa Ped Says:

      Hi Mel,

Sometimes the closer your goal is the harder it seems to be to wait to get there. But I think you will be presently surprised if you measure yourself. When I get disheartened I get out my measurements from when I first started and measure myself again, then the fact that the scales aren’t moving it’s not the end of the world. Hope this helps you and try not to stress, make sure you read a joke everyday or have a laugh with someone it’s amazing the difference it can make. Keep smiling.

  21. Fiona Says:

    Hi Everyone,

I am starting the BS challenge today! I was planning on starting on the 1st, took before photos etc. but was derailed by poor planning and interruptions (bad excuse I know!) I really needed to get my food and eating sorted out prior to starting, and I struggled. SO, I’ve organised myself better and have started TODAY. My biggest issue was getting up lateish, and not eating breakfast until the kids had gone to school at 9… this sort of throws out the three hour eating program (because if I have 6 meals at three hour intervals I’ll be eating at midnight, which isn’t likely!) So tomorrow, I’ll be getting up earlier, eating before showering and hopefully getting better organised in that direction!

Thanks for the great cheat recipes! I haven’t made any yet, but have ensured that I’ve got the ingredients for a couple!

Congrats to everyone who started last week, it sounds like a few people have had great results! For those whose results have been slow in coming, I’m certain that if you stick with the system you’ll break through.
    Fiona

    • Carolyn Smith Says:

      Hi All,

Glad to hear that I’m not the only late beginner amongst us. I was all ready to begin last week and found myself suffering from unexpected physical issues that interfered both with my walking and BS exercises….. sooooooo to give myself the best chance of a big outcome decided to give myself a week to recuperate.
Anyway, still not quite right but much better and definitely not going to let it stop me. So TODAY’S THE DAY. I’ve begun.
Someone I shared my goal with last week said to me “Isn’t it always the way? When you really want something life will often throw every conceivable extra challenge in your way. It comes down to how much you want it and if you want it enough nothing will stand in the way of your success. You just have to put that bit of extra effort in, in order to triumph!”

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRY AND TRIUMPH IS JUST A LITTLE “UMPH”

How true! So keep up the great work everyone and don’t let life get you down. There will always be a dozen reasons not to, we just have to find the one reason that’s more important than all the rest TO DO. I think a new slim, fit, healthy, happy me is the one. When I achieve that I’ll also fit the bill of a happier, more contented person, someone who’ll make a better partner, mum, sister and friend. IT’S TIME TO PUT ME FIRST. IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO PUT YOU FIRST. IT’S OK AND TOGETHER WE CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING.
      HERE’S TO US!

      • Kris Says:

Well done Fiona and Carolyn for starting..

the first steps can be the hardest..

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRY AND TRIUMPH IS JUST A LITTLE “UMPH”

just had to repeat that Carolyn.. it is excellent!!!!

  22. Lisa Says:

    Hi

Loving the challenge and all of the blogging.
    Week 1 Weigh in – 61.3kgs
    Week 2 Weigh in – 58.3kgs

    ***3kg Lose***

Veryhappy. I am going to measure again next week and will do measuring every 2 weeks.

THanks for all the positive vibes from everyone. It is inspiring to be a part of something that will bring so much good health and happiness to so many.

    Keep Sculpting, Lisa.

  23. Deidre Holland Says:

Well no weight loss for me this week. I had been snacking on zero carb lollies – maybe this was my downfall as they have a small fat content (maybe only have them on a JS day?). Anyone know the answer here? I’m going to cut them right out and see if it makes a difference. Anyway I’m going to hang in there and give it the full 6 weeks! I can recommend the cheesecake and the almond cookie (a little too sweet) recipes form the cheat to loose book very yummy. Been doing the bands and strength is gaining rapidly – although I was pretty fit to start off. Up to 90 squats and not feeling it all the next day, not sure how I can intensify this anymore. I have been doing my EPOC’s in the evening after a low carb energy drink and have been finding that I wake in the middle of the night in a mad sweat – I’m hoping its my metabolism kicking in!

    • Christine Says:

      Hi Deidre,
Well done on your eating and exercise!! Keep it going, you’ll get there! Don’t think the lollies should make a difference depending on how many, but maybe the low carb energy drink could be holding back the weight loss? Do you need it? I’ve lost about 600gm, seemed to put some back on after my JS day, but no way near as much after the Free Day on BT!!! So I am expecting this challenge to do great things for all of us! I have already noticed however, my clothes are a little looser, so that combined with the weight loss tells me good things are happening!
      Christine

      • Deidre Holland Says:

Hi Christine. Thanks for the feedback – always nice to hear from someone else. I thought that Geoff recommmended either coffee or an energy drink before an EPOC work out – this is the only time I have them. So only three a week.

    • Joy Says:

      Hi Deidre
I also have a sugar free red bull on the morning of my EPOC training. Geoff did say you could have either that or a coffee. Gets me up and pumping anyway!!!
Hope your going well with it all so far. 🙂

  24. sandy Says:

I’m feeling great and can see a change already. I only just started BodySculpt on 30th january so the BodySculpt Challenge was perfect timing for me. So far I have lost 2.5kg. Feeling fantastic!!
Thanks for the recipes Geoff, will be sure to use them.

  25. Vickie Says:

I have been very pleased with my weigh in this morning as I am 2.2kg lighter! I have not weighed myself during the week so as not to cheat (sometimes if I am going really well I let old habits sneak in and reward myself with a treat) I am just wondering about low joule Jelly? When are we aloud to eat it, as a snack or as an option for a dessert? I also made the cookies on the weekend and found them to be a great change!
    Thanks for the receipes!
    Cheers Vickie

    • Kris Says:

      Hi Vickie
      well done on weigh in!!
it is my understanding that Sf jelly is a treat that can be had at any time..(but best with meals or snacks)

    • Peta Knight Says:

      Hi Vickie.
Well done with your first week. Don’t it feel so good when you get on those scales. I eat diet jelly all the time. Lunch Dinner and any time I feel like I need to have something sweet. That would be 2-3 serves a day. Not big ones. It has never hurt my weight loss so go for it.

  26. Bec Says:

Very happy with my results this week, with a loss of 3.5 kilos. I am just so excited to be back excercising after an ankle injury which has had me having 3 surgeries in the last 3 yrs which explains my massive nearly 40 kilo weight gain. I am finding the BodySculpt program easier to follow than BodyTrim i guess its because of the lack of carbs which is really working for me. People have noticed the changes in my body already.
    Bring on Week 2!!!

  27. Maggie Says:

    I’m a happy chappy!!

In one week, I have already lost one dress size, 1.5kg and cm’s off my arms, waste, hips & thighs! I can even notice my face getting less chubby (LOL!)
Have received many complements & am shocked that the success is happening so soon 😀 Very disciplined, motivated & energised to give this challenge all I have…
I can’t believe I didn’t even flinch at the sight of carb temptations over the wknd (e.g. turned down mashed potato, pasta bake, thick toast, loads of fruit & alcohol… WTF!)
The carb cravings are disappearing quicker than I could ever expect – praise God! Chocolate is my #1 weakness & I find that I’m not craving it as much as before – what a miracle!
Loving EPOC training, am always fired up b4, during & aftr my workout – learning to love the burning feeling in my legs, abs & arms during EPOC!!!

    **Thanx Geoff & Chris**

PS: Finally built up the courage last wk to take my ‘before photo’ … Now I just can’t wait for my figure to drammatically transform into a sexier, slimmer, fitter, healthier, trimmer hotty!

  28. Lynn Says:

I have decided not to weigh myself each week but to rely on trying on a slightly too tight pair of jeans that I wore about 8 years ago – size 8 .Before I started Body Trim 1 year ago I was up to size 11 in jeans so there was no way I could get these jeans on. They now can be zipped up fully but with a substantial muffin top – my goal is to get thes jeans on comfortably by 6 weeks. I find that if I weigh myself weekly I tend to sabotage myself for some reason, so I’m going to try this method instead.

  29. Sue Says:

Hi everyone, I was away on holidays and knew i wouldnt be back until after the 1st Feb but did not want to miss out on this great opportunity of a group challenge to get right back on track so signed up anyway. I see others are just starting so maybe i wont be to far behind! Today i started on the bands but only done 1 set and stretches as i hadnt got all the information in order so should have it right next time. After a couple of days of following the food properly i have lost 1.5 kg and am now inspired to continue this through. I went to bed and listened to the visualisation cd this was so relaxing i went straight to sleep after. Fantastic bonus’s Geoff & team thanks so much.

Just started the 6 week Challenge today! Really looking forward to see how much weight will come off in the next month and half.
So far I’ve lost 22.6 kg since Oct 09 BIG thanks to Bodytrim. My primary goal in the challenge will be to lose a further 10 kg (fingers crossed).
    Good luck everybody!

    • Tammy Says:

Wow 22.6kg since Oct 09. Awesome effort Brendan!! I bet this challenge has come just at the right time. What a great help to motivate you & rid yourself of 10 more kgs.
      Keep up the great work!
      Tammy:-)

  31. vicky sharp Says:

Hi everyone Vicky here i did ok for the first week lost 2kg. had a bit of a struggle didnt do my walking on the weekend as it was puring raining all weekend. Ate some watermelon one night a big no no. I did my bands 3 times and enjoyed it, was a bit sore but that was to be expected. Its great to read about how everyone is going. I havnt got a buddy yet if someone out there needs one too.Iam 41 years old have 3 kids 2 boys 15,17 and a girl 10. Iam going to try the cheat to lose recipies as i think they help a lot so thank you Chris keep them coming. I tell you you what it isnt easy staying on track i have been cooking biscuits & cakes for my kids & husband so hard not to have a taste. But i do want those jeans of mine to fall to the ground when i put them on. Wish everyone well for week 2 Vicky oh & thank you so much Geoff this is just what i needed bye for now Xx

  32. Ursula Says:

Feeling fantastic…. bundles of energy …. i use to struggle to get out of bed at 5am every morning now i am jumping out of bed with a spring in my step… not missing carbs at all….. week one 2.4kgs stoked!!!
Its been great reading all the blogs and seeing how many other people face the same issues as I have… thanks to Geoff and Chris for all of the tips and advice.

  34. Tamara Says:

Hi Vicky, I’ll be your buddy as I am currently buddy-less. I am 34 with two children a girl 7 and a boy 4.5. Those cheat to lose recipes look really good. I have only claimed today as day one for me and started off with my morning walk (the 3 cats came too! lol).
Just a suggestion, are your kids any good in the kitchen? Maybe they could do the cakes and biscuits to cut down on your potential temptations? Today it is me looking in the fridge and the yoghurt shouting at me – so I close the fridge again because this wasn’t what I was after anyhow.
Your week one 2kgs gone gives me inspiration. I am unsure as to how much I can expect to lose in any given week seeing as I am a BS first timer.
I have a friend’s wedding to attend at the end of the month so I want at least one dress size gone by this time (or sooner) and then on from there.

BRENDAN!!! How fantastic are your results?!! You must be so proud of yourself. Now I am in awe!

I do have a question about the bands – haven’t done this yet as I have confusion. In the bs book it says to put your anchor on the side that doesn’t open in. Ummm! Well I live in an old house where all the doors to rooms open into the room (and the hallway is squishy). Can I use a sliding door instead??

    • Fiona Says:

      Hi Tamara,

Try and put the anchor in the hinge side of the door rather than the opening bit. That way, even if the door opened it would stay in (just check to make sure that if the door does open by accident that it won’t hit you!). I only had one door I could use and it’s not the best door either!

      Fiona

    • Tammy Says:

      Hi Tamara
I have that problem too. I put it on the side that opens but on a door that locks – this way no one can open it on me.
      Good Luck
      Tammy

  35. KRISTY Says:

HEY EVERYONE! IM FEELING SOOOO GOOD. THE BANDS ARE GREAT! IAM A HAIRDRESSER. AND HAIRDRESSERS KNOW HOW TO TALK AND KEEP A CONVERSATION GOING WELL I DO DO THAT NORMALLY, BUT AFTER MY FIRST WEEK ON BS I AM ABSOLUTELY FLYIN OFF THE WALLS. MY CLIENTS ARE RECEIVING NOT ONLY GREAT HAIR DOS BUT A MANIAC OF A HAIRDRESSER!! ITS FABULOUS!! SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE COMMENTED ABOUT MY APPEARENCE AND ABUNDENCE OF ENERGY IT IS SO GOOD! RECOMMENDING ALOT OF MY CLIENTS TO THE BODY TRIM WORLD. LOST 2KG THIS WEEK! SO HERES TO ANOTHER GREAT WEEK OF BS!

  36. Buddie Says:

Well that’s week 1 dusted off. I am pretty happy with my results.
    1.9kg gone
Body fat from 27.7 to 26.9.
So very encouraged to keep on and work a bit harder for next week.
To all those who are a bit discouraged with there losses or lack therof, let me say when I saw some of the results I started to question why I hadn’t lost more. But I am not going to let negativity in and neither should you we are all different and will lose at different levels so don’t give up.
    Cheers

  37. Robyn Says:

I am a late starter. Have just gone into the site for the first time. Looks like lots of people are already on the road to success – keep it up. I can’t wait to start seeing the results roll in

  38. Jill Freeman Says:

I was disappointed to find I actually gained 0.4 kg the first week. I have been strict with my eating & walking & BS. My buddy (daughter)lost 2kg so thrilled for her. I haven’t tried the cheat to lose recipes yet as I am not sure about whether they can be used as daily recipes or only on the 2 days a week.
I am determined to continue with this as surely it will all happen.

    • Deidre Holland Says:

Hi there don’t worry – if you’re been doing the workouts you may have gained muscle which is heavier than fat – take measurements they’re more reliable. The cheat recipes are definitely only for the Jump Start days (which must be 3 days apart). I haven’t lost any weight this week either, but I’m determined to stick to it!

  39. Dianna Says:

    Hi Everyone,

I can’t believe how good I feel the first two weeks are the hardest I think trying to change the way I think and eat, after that the enery has kicked in, I’m with you Ursula no problem getting out of bed, never been so motivated, I have’nt craved for carb at all. I have lost 2.2kg in the last week, but next week I don’t really expect to loose as much, so I’m not going to be disappointed. For the ones who haven’t lost this week hang in there. We are all with you.

  40. Pagey Says:

Started the week well, but fell off the wagon on the weekend. Had tickets to the 20/20 at the MCG friday night in a corporate box, not good timing. Cricket committments all day saturday is good exercise but bad for the eating schedule. Hope to get back on track this week. Found I was very sore after the first day of using the bands.

    • Tammy Says:

I fell of the wagon a bit over the weekend too but have bounced back with a great effort today with a vengance. Every day is a new day so try not to dwell on the past & put your efforts into today & what is to come.

  41. Megan Says:

So one week down and 2.3kgs less…yay…..haven’t done 10,000 steps everyday day due to the weather, but plan on doing them this week…..I walked up and down my stairs instead…Very pleased so far and certainly aren’t as sore now after completing the EPOC sessions…..even my kids have stopped laughing at me….lol…..cheers Meg

  42. Suzzi Says:

Hmmm…i acutally gained 600grams this week, Have been using the bands off and on for last 6 months, was no longer feeling challanged so I moved up 2 the blue bands. Great workout feel engized after it, I Feel great clothes are fitting much better muffin top recceding. However to see the numbers go up is a bit of a worry…….Congrats to everyone some of your numbers are amazing, Have a great week.x

    • Rachel L Says:

It’s muscle for sure!!! Especially considering you’ve gone up a notch with the new colour band, sounds like your clothes are giving you the true facts!!!

      • Suzzi Says:

A big thanks rachel for the support. Staying motivated banshed the scales from the bathroom till next Monday!!!

    • Rachel L Says:

You are going well! Scales sometimes tell you silly things and seeing a minimal loss or worse still is the BIGGEST demotivator, even when we are told not to focus on the numbers, it still kills to see . . . . . do those scales have the body fat analysis? That’s a better indicator.

Also, did you take your before photo and your start measurements? Are you using the visual transformation technique that came with the program? I’m found it a great motivator during Week 1 which was such a drastic change for me and now I’m looking forward to seeing my first progress photo at the end of a month on the program!!

  43. Tanya R Says:

I lost 1 kg but gained cm’s in most areas, but I feel fantastic! so strong and energized. Im sticking to it, and its great to hear that I am not the only one who didn’t get the results they dreamed of. – I have re watched the DVD’s, and I have planned the whole week not just the day, so this week my body will get the message and cooperate.
congratulations to all, keep up the good work and we will all get the results we want.

  44. Ruth Says:

Found it tough last week for some reason. Forgot to log on to challenge site. Well now I have some new recipes to get me going. Can’t wait for the jump start day to try out some new treats to get me going. Thanks for the recipes and the tips Geoff.

  45. Jenny Says:

BS is great. I lost 2.4kg this first week. That is without all my steps as has been raining constantly here. I refuse to cook 2 different meals so my DH is eating the same as I am (with a few odd snacks he helps himself to) and he has lost as well. I cannot convince him that the bands are fun, though.

  46. Sarah Says:

    Hi,
I have only just received my pack today and feel a little like it is now too late for me to start this challenge a bit overwhelmed by it I guess as everyone else has already started but after reading some of the other responses know I can do it, no matter what the change is it will be a change and that in itself will be great, to finally get the old me back again and to start living

    • JM2010 Says:

Hi Sarah, my hubby and I only started today and if you watch the dvds, it’ll help you get organised much faster. Plus, watching Geoff being all hyper-excited is what got me hyper-excited!! hehe. I’m glad we’ve got such an energetic and experienced mentor and I can’t wait to weigh in next week 🙂

  47. Karen W Says:

Hi amanda ,I thought I may be the oldest at 54 trying out the challange, first week have only lost 500grames walking every night finding hard to fit other exercise in with running a business as well.Started body trim before Xmas lost 4 kilos then went on holidays to Tasmania not good to many berry farms but weight back on and then saw the challenge and thought great this is what i need to be motivated.Jeff is right you need the right people and envrioment.Love seeing new receipe ,also must have missed what exercises to do for body sculpt anyone know where I can see these otherwise will stick to gym one I know

    • Glenys Says:

Hi Karen Your not the oldest doing the challenge Iam 57 and only started this week. So keen to see how I go. It is definately harder when your older than when your in your thirties. So go the oldies. You need to purchase the Body Sculpt kit and watch the DVDs. All the exercises and information are there for you. I have never blogged before , but it definately helps with the motivation.

  48. Leah Says:

Well Done to all but a suggestion, follow MariaJ’s lead and keep away from the scales for awhile until you notice a definite change in your clothes. You don’t need the distraction as you will see results!!

I had a loss of 3.2kgs and am more pumped than ever so Thanks Geoff & Chris for these fabulous cheat treats. I will be ordering my Choc BT-P this week so I can get into the yummy treats.

  49. Karen Gardner Says:

I started last Friday and was doing great, eating well, feeling good and had lost some weight already… but today was a hard day with my 3 pre-school age children and I caved and had a packet of choc-chip cookies and a McDonalds caramel sundae… feeling really bad now but I’m going to have a lean protein-only dinner and start again tomorrow.

I would like to have a buddy if anyone else with young kids is interested, so we can support each other through the ‘hard’ days 🙂

Not sure how to do that other than using this blog.

I really need someone to help keep me accountable and on track. I have my brother’s wedding in 5.5 weeks now and would really like to fit into the dress I bought to wear and even look great in it.

    HELP NEEDED!!

    • JM2010 Says:

Hi Karen, I only started the challenge today, so you can start again now and don’t give up. I just need to look at a pic of McDonalds or junk food and I want it – but I have to remind myself that my kids only get McDonalds if I drive them there! That might be a good way of getting your environment sorted out just like Geoff’s 2nd e-lesson from today; you can start by not driving to Maccas 🙂 I have two children, 11 and 5, so they’re both always wanting food food food – but I had my snacks all prepped, and after I made their meals, I made sure I ate my snacks and did my work instead of watching them. I work full time as well, but my son was sick today – so I was working at home on my laptop. Just like Tony’s blog – and doing something else instead of letting the temptation hit – I did my work while the kids ate their carbs!! hehe. I’ve got my sister’s 30th birthday in 5.5 weeks as well, and my birthday is three days after her, but that will be my last week of the challenge. So if you keep the support up and focus on your brother’s wedding, you can smile knowing that I too am a sucker and I have to keep going hard during my sister’s 30th – for which she is having a party and all our family from overseas are coming over for. Hmm…it’s going to be interesting to see how I control the environment that second week of March 🙂 Good luck to us all.

    • Larissa Says:

Karen – I am also on the lookout for a buddy (as I mentioned below 🙂 )
Don’t feel bad about the slip – the fact you’re focussed on getting back on the horse shows you’re focussed on your goal. We are human, thus fallible. The main thing is getting back on track and ‘starting afresh’ mentally.

JM2010 – Congrats on starting … its the part I find the hardest (2nd hardest is keeping it up, lol).

Maybe putting the invite ( or a physical reminder!) in a place you will regularly see ie. the fridge/the cupboard door; could be something that might help?!!

Maybe we could start a small buddy group on the forum like some of the guys are?

    • Mellyj Says:

      hey karen,
good on you for having the guts to get back onto it after you fell offthe wagon, i have 3 kids 7, 5 and 3 and i started last week im definatly finding the second week alot easier for the craving as im a chocoholic lol i’ll be your buddy as i dont have the support of a spouse at the moment my hubby is in the army and away at the moment, he keeps nice and fit in there, and i wont see him until april so i would like to surprise him with losing the weight so i can make our reunion a little bit more special!………. keep up the good work

      • Karen Gardner Says:

        Hi Jayne, Larissa and Mellyj,

Thanks for indicating you’re interested in a small buddy group.

I have started a blog of my own on my Yahoo7 page so that we can support each other as a small group and be buddies for this challenge in a private forum. If you’re interested just send me your email address and I’ll send you an invite. My email is k_g_gardner@yahoo.com.au

    • Jayne Says:

      Hi Karen,

I know what you need about needing to be accountable. I also slipped up on the weekend. I was so disappointed in myself as I had been going so well all week and starting to see results. I had a 6 year old birthday party to go to on Sunday with my two kids. I knew that they were serving pizza’s for the adults to eat so I ate my lunch before I went and had a hard boiled egg as a snack for later. Got through the pizza lunch just fine – not even tempted. Then the cake came out and I was fine with that too until a piece (quite a large piece too) was dumped in my hand. So what did I do – eat it of course. Why couldn’t I just put it on the table and leave it??? I have been so pumped up and focused to start this challenge and then I cave in the first week. This sugar hit then set me off to wanting more carbs – I had my kids freddo’s out of the party lolly bags they received too. Aaarrrrghhh. Feel like once I start on the carb’s I can’t stop – they are like a drug or something.
I’d be happy to be your buddy or join a small buddy group as Larissa suggested, as I don’t have one either.
      HELP!!!!!!

  52. Rebecca Says:

Had a great week, loving the BS bands, actually look forward to the session. Have had a loss of 2.2kg yay! Now really focused on achieving the results, need to do more steps,(little slack there).
Cant wait to cook some of the treats, really enjoying eating some cheese and nuts, just breaks up the protien snacks.
    Best of luck everyone!

  53. Tina W Says:

oh dear I am the loser for this week….not a thing and been a bit slack – did clean the back patio up (which is huge) did work up a sweat cleaning that up and washing down the treadmill ready for the early morning walk off before getting kids off to school etc….would be most helpful if my BT food would arrive soon…still waiting guys…

To the rest of you good on ya’s. I wish I had as much motivation as some of you have. It is over 40 here today so not good to be outside at all!

    Soldiering on…

  54. Donna Says:

Just received my body sculpt pack in the mail today plus a 4kg Choc Protein powder. I’m keen to start watching the DVD and learn about the program. So far I have lost over 10kgs on bodytrim which I have been following for quite a while. This last week I have lost 800 grams and considering all the rain we have had and no real opportunity to get my daily walks in I am happy. Just a question though, by following body sculpt and doing the challenge can I still include 2-3 curves sessions each week or will that interfere with the overall results.

  55. Larissa Says:

WELL DONE to everyone who has taken up the challenge, let alone those of us who’ve removed weight and cms from our figures!!! Keep your eye on the goal and you can achieve ANYTHING!!!!

I actually had a pretty good week this week, despite a few ‘setbacks’. To begin, I removed 1.8kgs I have no intention of accommodating again, and a huge 9.5cm also went “BYE BYE”!! WOOHOO!!! *happy dance*

I am in awe of what I have achieved as ‘the scarlet lady’ arrived at the end of last week and is yet to pack her bags and leave, sending my hormones haywire and fluid retention, bloating etc. Also, I’ve got congenital hypothyroidism (from birth my thyroid hasn’t produced enough thyroxine for my body, and I have to take tablets every day of my life – I will never not have it unfortunately), and I’ve been lax in my taking of my tablets. I’ve said to myself this cannot happen anymore and day 2 of tablets and I’ve had them. This will greatly help my results if I can get my levels back to ‘normal’ again.

Exercise: I haven’t gotten to 10000 steps this week everyday – 3 days I only got to about 8000 – and I only did 2 sessions of EPOC training (Mon & Thurs) so I know I can work on these to achieve even more great results next week! My EPOC sessions went well – though the shoulder press nearly killed me each time and I needed to go up in bands for the last two exercises – but I soon learnt that doing this in the evening (ie. 7.30pm after putting the little one down; followed by a 50min walk to up steps) was not good…I was still so wide awake at midnight, I even completed a ‘hard’ sudoku without cheating or giving up halfway through it!!

Nutrition wise: I stayed on the BS program pretty well, though I had a couple of (smaller-than-normal) pieces of a pineapple upside-down cake I’d cooked to commemorate my late (last year) grandmother’s birthday the night my Grandfather came round for dinner. I was really good the day I cooked it and didn’t even have it that night – it was the following two days when it sat in the fridge taunting me that I surcummed. I also missed a handful of snacks due to time getting away from me and had two small scoops of vanilla icecream with milo last night after a whole day of that being all i could think of.

All in all I’m proud of my progress this week and intend to be even more focussed these coming weeks. Over the weekend I recovered an old corkboard with some black satin-backed-crepe fabric and white ribbon (to flash it up a bit) and placed this behind my computer screen in the lounge-room (the room I spend most of my day in being a FT studying, stay-at-home-mum), putting my VTT on top with BS pertinent information, inspirational quotes and photographs on to motivate me.

I am yet to find a buddy though. I am 26, mum to a 19mth old daughter, doing FT study (with an exam right in the middle of wk 5 – beware the carb attack!!!). I live in Howard Springs if anyone close wants a buddy, though location is not important to me.

Once again, CONGRATULATIONS to everyone on their achievements so far – YOU CAN DO IT!!!

NB: Sorry about the length, one of my ‘faults’, lol.

  56. Vanessa Says:

I’m a late starter too…started off today and feeling really pumped (especially after seeing Geoff jumping round in today’s lesson!). I know the first couple of days are easy but I always find day 3 and 4 difficult as I get really tired and grumpy – carb withdrawal I think!
Will have to do what Geoff says and come back here for support. Right off for my walk now!

  57. Adrienne Says:

good to hear all the positive peole. I am a bit down at the moment after trying to get back into BT compliant and only losing 2kg in the week. I had it all together last October and want to get it together now. I will be starting Sculpt neek week and hope to stick to BT this week. I will be looking for all the help I can so thanks to you geoff for you enthusiam..

  58. Kris Says:

    Hi all..
I lost 1.5kg for week one of the challenge.. but wont be doing measurements till next week.
my biggest struggle is fitting the right time in for the EPOC bands.. and the time i have done them last week was about 9pm after the kids had gone to bed, and with me juggling meals and food in around that.. it woiuld be much easier to just not do them, but it is only 3 times a week for 6 weeks…so i will do them. but find this is the hardest time for me.. not only am i tired from after the day, but i have then to wait up for an hour for my last snack..

i also struggle to find the bands interesting.. i did it with a show i usually watch on tv last time, and that was better.. but otherwise solo exercising isnt usually my cup of tea.. i like group classes …

but other than those 2 little gripes.. i will be doing the bands for the next 5 weeks, and im sure they will benefit me,… and then i will reassess how i feel…

hope everyone has a blistering week 2!!!!!!

    • Kerrianne Says:

      Hey Kris,
I do all my workouts and walking ( on a treadmill) first thing then they are over for the day. I hate mornings and have always been a late riser and late to bed. Oh how I have changed in the last 4 weeks. My hubby is gob smacked I am up at 5 to get started by 5.15 Finished by 6 so I can then walk for an hour. I am rather gob smacked myself. I am the night owl! I just got to the realisation that if I didn’t get them done first, my 4 kids, hubby parttime work, running kids around after school meals etc etc etc would get in the way of my goal to get fantastically fit. So I have had a real lifestyle change and I am doing it. So I am sure you can too. Just make the plan. But I must admit I fall into bed alot earlier. Go Girl You can!!

    • LINDA Says:

Hey Kris I’m hearing you to keep fit and healthy you really do need to make some changes just as Kerrianne has so to I have made the committment to wake up earlier as hard as it is (the first few days are the worst) then your body starts to respond and now I find I’m starting to wake before the alarm goes off, who would ever of thought, point being if we’re not prepared to put in then we wont get the results that we all want, keep on going at the end of the day it will be all worth it. I find listening to music is great whilst doing the bands, good effort keep on going 🙂

  59. Vishal Says:

    Hi Geoff and Everyone,

Thanks for the addition to the recipies, I would like to get a bit more serious and get rite stuck in to it

I am taking this challenge a bit light? any ideas what to do to fire it up

Thanks guys and all the best

    Vishal

    • Peta Knight Says:

      Hi Vishal.
The only person that can get you motivated is yourself. Believe me. If it isn’t in your head it won’t come of the hips. I spent years of not being motivated and then it happened. Since last year I have gone from 115kg to 89kg. Over flowing from a size 22 to a 16. You can do it. Give yourself a chance and do it for you.

  60. Mandy C Says:

    YEE HAAA!
Had an absolute ripper of a week- down from my start weight of 85.6kg (44.4% BF) to 82kg (43.7% BF). My hubby Paul C started at 99.9kg (29.9% BF) down to 97.3 kg (28.6% BF)- and it has been so easy!
We do need to work on our daily steps- otherwise we have been very compliant.

To all of those who were a bit disappointed with their first week- DON’T DESPAIR! HANG IN THERE- WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  61. michelle Says:

Have had a great week – and was rewarded on the scales and with the tape measure. Am feeling positive and not at all daunted by the 5 weeks ahead.
Have really enjoyed looking at the blogs and realising that there are others like me, just doing the best they can.

Good luck to all for week 2, and get going to those about to start week 1 – it is really worth getting stuck into it!!

  62. Laraine Says:

Hi, to all you great buddies, Its great to hear all your pros and cons. I too have worked my big butt of this week and not even a gram off, but, I will not give in, I am going too keep at it and give this my best shot for the 6 weeks. I am doing my best in the food department but I must admit I do cheat with one item, once a week. I walk and excercise every day and am feeling much better in myself for this, no more afternoon slumps and have more energy. We need each other to keep us on the road to success. Keep at it my friends.

    • Tammy Says:

Way to keep positive Laraine!! I love the outlook you have. Keep up the great work & I have no doubt you will start to notice the difference on the scales!
      🙂 Tammy

  63. Mellyj Says:

    hi all
Congrats to all those who moved the scales this week and lost some inches im yet to do my measurments but will be doing that tnight and posting them after only losing just under 1kg this week,
My husband is in the Army and away for the next 5mths……i have a really high stress drive and a lack of sleep and was wondering how this has an effect on weight loss, ive struggled with this and my weight my whole life……..i currently have about 15 to 20kgs to lose.

wat i have achieved this week is a great program to get in my steps i take my 3 kids and two dogs around our block a few times every afternoon they love it because they can ride there bikes and get out of the house (they love it outdoors) so they keep me motivated,,,,,, i am a gym junky i have been for 9mths now but still havent managed to lose the weight so its frustrating, but this is my year and with the help of B/S im going to do it………..

  64. Sharon Says:

Hello to all – congratulations on your weight loss and for those that stayed the same – you will lose – don’t give in – just think how healthy your insides are!!

MELLYJ; I’m not sure if you have tried “Herbal Sleepytime Tea” – I take it half an hr before bed along with some natural sleepeze tablets and I sleep very well as long as I don’t drink that couple of glasses of wine.

I’ve just started the challenge today (surviving so far with no wine tonight) – I nearly didn’t bother as I was sick last week but thought; I have nothing to lose but weight and the chance to be carb free and get my energy back and for my body to say “thank you – your back – healthy eating lady”!!! So took my photo yesterday and measurements and weighed in today! Started my 3 day carb detox – very hard in the morning could have easily cooked some toast – but thought better – went for my walk this arfternoon and did my Bodysculpt for the first time. Couldn’t make 30 x 3 repetitions – could only make 20 and one exercise could only do 10 8 and 10 – can only improve from there.
Keep up the good work. Cheers

    • Tammy Says:

      Hey Sharon
I am wondering if it was the shoulder press that you struggled on? I can’t get to 20reps on those ones yet. I just try to do 1 more than I did on my last EPOC session.
      🙂 Tammy

      • Kerrianne Says:

Go Girls. Shoulder press my least favourite but can now do 3 sets of 25 and sometimes can get 30 out on my first set so hang in there you will get stronger. 4 weeks ago 3 sets of 20 was a real struggle

  65. Ralf Says:

    Hi guys
well I am feeling pretty good having lost 2kilos this week – I didn’t think I would end up with that result in the first week.

I think I may have missed something – when can you have those sweet Items in the Cheat to Lose recipes- like the cookies and cheesecake?

Also anyone got any ideas on how to use the Strawberry BT Protein Powder in recipes?

    • Tammy Says:

      Hi Ralf
The recipes in the Cheat to Lose book are for the Jumpstart days I think – because they contain the “fats” that we can have on those days eg nuts & cheese.
      Hope this helps
      🙂 Tammy

  66. Kim Says:

    Hi All,
Wonderful to hear most of you are enjoying it. I feel like crap! I finally get fired up to do something good for ME and I get my first period in three months! Wammo! Like being struck by lightning! As a result, feel aweful, bloated and just totally shattered! I have stuck to the program like glue, including the bands and the jumpstart days and I am feeling worse than when I started. Hopefully next week will be better once the girly problems go away!

It’s a shame, I am a Personal Trainer by trade and could motivate anybody else to do anything! My clients comment regularly about how inspiring and motivating I am….. so why can’t I feel that way about myself??

    Good luck everybody.

Hope all you other disheartened participants find your motivation soon too.

  67. lisa Says:

Had a great first week, considerably smaller. My husband says I am shrinking before his eyes. I do my bands first thing in the morning – 5.30am, followed by my walk and am pumped for the rest of the day. Am yet to check out the recipes, so will do that now. Bought a pair of size 8 pants today which made me very happy! Looking forward to Wk 2.

  68. Louby Says:

    Hi Geoff and team

I have been away on and off since Christmas and just got all the information for the challenge. I am not sure if I am in the zone for the phase 3 but I promise to myself that I will follow the phase 2 for the next 6 weeks starting tomorrow.

I am going to the UK in September for my nieces wedding (nobody back home know’s I am going until I turn up) and I want them to say wow. I have already lost 16 kilos. But I think this challenge will get me motivated and not want to cheat!!

Thank you and will be back in touch next week, got to go and do the measuring and photo taking.

    Good luck everyone.

    Hey there,
feeling pretty good and positive at the moment. have noticed that clothes are starting to feel looser in places pretty happy bout that. find it hard to cstick to the plan on weekends when we are away from home though.

  71. Jan B Says:

    Hi challengers
I am so happy with the 3.4kg loss this week, my buddy ( hsuband ) lost 2.2kg. We both lost 10+kg on BT 18 months ago but then put it back on plus more. I am so sure the free day was my undoing as I am such a sugar addict and could not get off the “carb train” . I know my weaknesses and its best to stay away as I have no off switch with sweets. So my 48th birthday next Sunday and I have alredy decided no cake this year (well maybe a small one for the kids). Now that is something for a chocoholic. But I have decided as it is my year the Tiger ( chinese horoscope) which also happens to fall on my birthday It has to be some special Lucky omen I am sure– SoThis is the last diet I will ever be on as I will be on BS Maintenance for the rest of my life.
Lets go for it 2010 Challengers

    Cheers Jan B

    • Kerrianne Says:

Great work Jan. My birthday’s in 2 weeks and I will be 47 so we are pretty close. You keep those positive thoughts and you’ll knock those Kilo’s out of the ball park. I’m inspired!!

      • Jan B Says:

Thanks so much Kerrianne, Lets keep thinking positive. As it does get harder to too the kilos the older you get I am sure of that.
        Cheers Jan

  72. Cherrie Says:

    Hello everyone

Finally getting started this week. Not quite up to speed as some of you. Great to see so many people giving it a go.

  73. Jennifer Says:

    HI there

BodySculpt is the first time i can ever recall having followed an eating plan for more than 4 days… My goal was to ‘stick to the rules’ this time and i have done so for 8 days (with the exception of ‘cereal’ this morning). i’ve lost 2kgs and the jeans feel better. Got 8kg to go.

Just checking, with the Eat To Lose recipes, it appears to contain both meals AND snacks (for the jumpstart days). In doing 3×3, how many meals and snacks can be from this recipe book? – the whole days worth, just one or two on that day??? Does it matter?

  74. Ally Says:

Hi, I’m happy with a 1.5kg loss this week after 3 week plateau on BT and motivated to keep powering on as I have a long way to go. Managing 10000 steps and bands (great challenge) but add in 1.5k swim 2-3x/week. I don’t remember ever having this much energy.
    Have a great week

  75. julie Says:

Started BS this week – my plateu now over, lost 1 kg (yippy) Finding the bands great but not sure about feet placement as video doesn’t show. I’ve always been weak in the arms so am finding the standing shoulder press a little difficult (having to rest more often). Didn’t manage my 10,000+ steps last week so will need to make sure I complete at least 10,000 steps this week. Am greatful for the jumpstart days as I can now have some nuts and cheese (yeah). Keep up the good work everyone.

    • Kris Says:

      Hi Julie..
i think if feet placement was important it would have been more clearly shown. I stand with my knees slightly bent, and about shoulder width apart.. not sure if this is correct, but i feel balanced.

      well done on plateau breaking!

  76. Tammy Says:

First week down. Did really well until Friday when I went out for coffee with a friend & forgot to take my protein snack with me. Was at a place that didn’t have healthy options so went without. Wondering if that was the right thing to do cos it through me out for the rest of the day. Started Sat & Sun off well but again later in the day didn’t stick to the BS plan.

Have stuck with the exercise part every day & am pleased to say I still managed to lose 1kg & a total of 11.5cms.

Even though I struggled since Friday & am happy that I seemed to have got renewed strength & determination & have come back strong today. I am feeling much better & have definately started to notice a difference with clothes.

I would like to order some protein powder & try out some of the recipes in the Cheat to Lose Guide Book. I thought I read somewhere that we get a discount while participating in the challenge – is this correct? If so is there a discount code to be entered? I think it would be good to have a shake sometimes for a snack as well.

I really really enjoyed being able to have some almonds & parmesan cheese for snacks on the jumpstart days. It was an excellent change.

Hope to chat to “less” of everyone next week – Good Luck!
    🙂 Tammy

    • Kris Says:

      hi Tammy…

yup we do get 25% discount on BT products while the challenge is on for purchases over $50, there is a code that needs to be entered.. it is in the challenge info pack (found on the right side of the screen) under the e-lesson links..

i have ’emergency’ snacks on hand all the time, in the car i have a tin of tuna (with a fork), a container with protein powder in it, and some chick nuts.. so if im caught out i have options.. i also used to carry a protein bar in my bag, but found i was eating it in preference to some prepared snacks.. not really emergencey, and was also a bit wary of being accused of shoplifting..maybe needed to tape receipt to it! it does become a habit to leave the house with a little cooly bag packed with snack options.. always more than i think i will need..

      good luck

      • Rachel L Says:

        Kris,

You can ask for a “Check Seal” at the service desk of any Woolworths and they’ll slap a seal on it, I did that with my 1.5l of water last week because I was taking it everywhere with me to get the water intake done.

Any supermarket should do that for you before you enter, even if you didn’t buy it there!

  77. Cheryl Randall Says:

    Hi All,

Have had a great week not lost a lot of weight (only lost 1kg) NOT bad concidering I HAD to have a slice of my mother-in-laws 99th birthday cake and also indulged in a few chippies and dip before dinner the other night. I could only walk 5 days last week and I have done the bands 3 times. I found the bands HARD, I haven’t managed to get the whole 3 sets of 20 on ALL five excerices YET but it is getting easier. BUT I feel great. As a 55 year old mother of four I can’t believe how I feel TODAY after an 8 hour day fencing at my daughters. I must have “hand mixed” about 30 cement mixer loads of concrete and shovelled over 300 shovels of gravel and cement. Two weeks ago I am sure I wouldn’t be able to move now but surprisingly I feel FANTASTIC.
My daughter is getting married in FIJI in 91 days time so I can’t wait to look fantastic on the beach when we greet the 100+ family and friends who will be spending a week with us on our island paradise.
This challenge couldn’t have come at a better time for me I AM so motivated – BRING IT ON!!!!

    • Kerrianne Says:

Cheryl, You will look fantastic. As I mentioned in my blog. It does get easier. My hardest exercise is Shoulder press and squats. Well they have both improved but shoulder press is my weakest area I feel. Then add lunges and I am hard pressed to get 3 sets of 20. Jelly legs! So in 91 days you will be a dynamo!! And you can take ya bands with you!!

  78. Kerrianne Says:

Well very little weight lost but I started the challenge 4 weeks into me already doing body scult so I sense my percentage body fat verses muscle is changing. I know I am strong and have progressed through most exercises 3 by 30 reps so have changed bands. Lunges…. well they sorted me out last week. Was abit sore for a couple of days, much like when I first started and the water ski squats. They had me walking funny for a few days as well. But I did recover faster this time round so I think that is good and water ski squats are now a breeze. Well should I say easier then they were. Struggled with 3 sets of 20 Now I do 3 sets of 30 so it all must be working. And my first comment from a work mate,
she says” I am not sure what it is You look different You look fitter or something! Something with ya muscles” Made me laugh . She couldn’t pin point it because it was just not weight loss. I put her out of her guessing game and told her about BS. She is now watching more closely for the changes. So for all the beginners stay focused and just go week by week. Just wait till you see that new you looking back in 4 weeks Now that really motivates ya!!

    • Kris Says:

      whhooooo hooooo
its great when people begin to notice changes.. especially when they are unaware, and not looking for any changes..
good to see the progress you have made in the 4 weeks!

  79. Annette Says:

Started today… not feeling super-confident but am still positive. i have difficulty doing the 10000 steps but figure that if i go for a planned walk most days that is way more than i usually do and that is good… eating was good today, went for a walk and did epoc, drank lots of water = all good things! need to get more sleep – often difficult for me. i’m looking forward to posting a loss next week, i usually weigh and measure myself each saturday and just following basic bt last week and not walking much lost 1 kg – the one i put on the week before (to much socialising i think!)

  80. violet Says:

    Hello Everyone,

Congratulations to everyone on their great losses. I have had a great week, did my band exercises, 10,000 steps done a day, have had my 2-3Litres of water, my meals & snacks & feel fantastic. I lost 1kg this week, not as good as I had hoped, but happy I had a loss.

Great going everybody. Have a great week ahead.

  81. Moya Says:

    Hi all

I am finding BS easy to follow. I have lost 1kg in the first week so I am wrapped. The only challenge I have is my husband he is trying to sabotage me every step of the way. He refuses to eat health foods and will try and prevent me anyway he can from losing weight. I don’t know why he is doing this but I am trying to block him out and focus 110% on my progress.

    • Rachel L Says:

That’s quite serious behaviour from him. Is he overweight as well, does her perhaps not want you to succeed for some reason?

      • Moya Says:

Not realy overweight I think he just doesn’t want me to have confidence and feel proud of my achievements. Not realy sure why he just does it.

    • michelle Says:

keep going – you will be so proud of yourself when you have success.

    • Rachel L Says:

Is he very approchable about serious conversation or mild confrontation, if he is approachable (some people really flip out at the mildest of confrontations) then do tell him that it’s important to you to reach your goal and that reaching it will improve not only your life but his as well. It’s fair enough if he doesn’t want to eat the same food, most men, well most partners would say “it’s not fair that I have to eat that food” etc etc . . . . . is he doing other things that cause sabotage like making fun of the new choices you are making or tempting you with food and so on? You’ll really need to be strong here, don’t give up or give in!!

      • Moya Says:

        Thanks Rachel and Michelle
I know now that with bodytrim and now body sculpt I can do and I am. I make double meals so that I only have to cook every second day when I work late. So I am not tempted. People at work have commented on my change since on bodytrim a group of ladies asked me what I have been doing and said that they call me the shrinking lady. That totally took me by surprise and taking complaints is hard for me but on BT and BS I am having to accept it because the more people I bump into that I haven’t seen for awhile have said I am looking great and what is my secret. I am a walking bodytrim advertisement at the moment everyone that asks I tell them how great bodytrim is and send them to the website.

  82. Rachel L Says:

Loving the program so far . . .

4.9kg loss in Week 1, I can’t believe the scales and my pants are getting loose already!!

So much energy all week except Fri late afternoon I slumped and went to sleep for an hour!

No carb is certainly easier to follow than low carb . . . .

I set my goal for the 6 week challenge at 10kg, I’m so motivated!!

    • Kris Says:

Rachel. that is an absolutely fantastic result!!! whoooo Hoooooooo
      have a great week 2!!

      • Rachel L Says:

Thanks! I’ve worked really hard this last week after eating takeout every night for 3 months and then having chips and chocolate or ice cream afterwards. It’s been a drastic extreme to past behaviour to endeavor on this challenge!

    • Maggie Says:

      !!!! GO RACHEL !!!!
Keep up the great work buddy 🙂

  83. Larissa Hale Says:

    Hi all,

I have not lost a heap of weight and havent received my body sculpt pack yet. Everything seems to take a little longer getting to Cape York. I have 3 kids and work away in Cairns quite a bit – I find when I am home I have no issues with the program – but when away living in motels and all I find it a lot more difficult to remember to snack. I go away again next week so I am going to put in more effort and make sure I take snacks to the office down there with me and make sure that I stop for lunch – I find when I m there I tend to just keep working and dont stop – because I just want to get back hom to my kids. Also find it more difficult to do extra 30 mins walking when away from home. hey all in the program – i know just need to work on it and keep going. everything everyone is saying helps so much. thanks

  84. Kelly G Says:

    Hi Everyone,

I haven’t used the bands yet and couldn’t open the first e-lesson. I stuck to the Bodytrim principals and lost 1.5kg. Hoping to get the bands out this week and get some motivation, struggling a bit with trying to plan my meals and snacks.

  85. Jacqy Says:

It’s comforting to read all these blogs and to see so many of us going through the same struggle with weight. I’m feeling so cross with myself because I’ve been below my current weight a few years ago but as usual didn’t manage to keep it off. AND I delayed doing BT until the New Year although my book and DVD arrived in November. As a result I’ve had an extra 2 1/2 kg to lose after my pre-diet Eat-a-thon through December. But with 4 weeks of BT and one week of BS I’m more than half way to my destination – only 3 kg to go. And, with so many fabulous recipes to choose from, maybe THIS TIME I can keep it off.
I believe it’s crucial to do it for yourself. When you are not dragging around all those extra kilos, when you feel a sense of achievement and good about yourself, anything’s possible.
My heart goes out to those who haven’t lost weight this week – hang in there. I nearly gave up mid-week but now so glad I didn’t.

  86. judy Says:

    Hi all
This is a new experience for me I have never done a blog before.

I have been on BT since Oct & lost 5kg, but I struggle to give up sugar – I noticed in the cheat to lose receipes that Splender was used. I didnt think that was very good for you either. I have had many ups and downs in my weight especially over Xmas. Perhaps I havent been strong enough, as I still have coffee with milk and 1/4 sugar.

I also work at a school that is egg & nut free, so I find that maintaing the variety in my snacks hard.

  87. belinda Says:

i am still getting the gist of this challenge have lost %kg in 3 weeks

  88. belinda Says:

    should have been 5kg

  89. Jennie Says:

I lost 12kgs in 10 weeks on Body Trim then I stopped losing the next 2 weeks and then last week I started the challenge and this week I lost 1.3kgs. Just hang in there and stick to the plan.
This is the best eating plan I’ve ever tried, I feel great and enjoy eating as I do now and excercising.

  90. Susan Griffiths Says:

Awoke at 6am to go for a walk ,to my husbands surprise. He can’t believe how determined I am. In all our 10 years, I have never been like this. We live on a dirt road and he said if I take the dog, just be careful of the white ute that comes around the corner at 6.30am as the dog is off the lead as we are out in the sticks, I thought I may just walk alone this morning, don’t want any accidents.
Was a beautiful cool morning, breathing in the fresh air imaginging myself in the future being a thinner healther version of myself. Well, I then saw a white ute approaching me. The dirt road was quite smooth in the middle but on the edges big chunks of crushed rock!! Well I had to slip and fall down like a tonne of bricks right infront of him didn’t I. He just drove past with a smile. I was in sooooo much pain, had thought to take my phone, but decided against it. All I could think of was no I can’t be hurt, what about my weightloss journey, it can’t end like this!!!! I hobbled home, took about 20mins. Saw my husband, I was either going to cry or laugh. We ended up laughing together. My kids laughed at me. I had blood pouring down my leg. This will not stop me !!!!! I will push though the pain. lol

    • Kris Says:

      ohh Susan..
good on you for getting up to walk!!!
how mean of Mr white ute driver to not stop to see if you were ok…
hope your leg is all better soon..
and im sure that laughter was a great medicine!

      • Susan Griffiths Says:

        Thanks Kris!
You would think living in the country people would stop.
It’s later on in the day and my knees are starting to ache. Not happy about that, I have lots of swelling. It’s not going to stop me! I will just have to take it easy the next few days.
Good luck in your journey! 🙂

  91. Shirley Says:

I am doing well but my biggest problem is that I am soooo over eggs for bfst. Can anyone give me some other ideas of what to eat?

    • michelle Says:

I am also looking for different breakfast ideas too please I do enjoy a variation of eggs, but not every day. Would appreciate any ideas to add to my list,
apart from that, all going well. Have been enjoying a look at the blogs each day.

    • Lisa Says:

      Hi Shirley & Michelle ….

Protein Pancake – 1 heaped table spoon protein powder, 1/2teaspoon baking powder, sprinke cinnamon, 1 tablespoon ricotta cheese, 1 whole egg and 1 egg white. Whisk it all together and cook as a normal pancake. Yummooooo. I put splenda and lemon juice on mine.

Has no vegies, but is protein and a good egg alternative. Enjoy.
      Lisa

      • Angie Says:

        Hey Lisa,
That protein pancake sounds delicious. I’m feeling enthused about tomorrow’s breakfast already!

Have only just started on BT a few weeks ago and am just reading up on BS. Dying to get started and hopefully lose weight faster!

Great to read everyone’s comments. Don’t feel like I’m the only one going through this!!

        Thanks, Angie

      • michelle Says:

yum – ta, will make one tomorrow!

    • Rachel L Says:

The tofu recipe in the Bodytrim book under breakfasts is great too!

  92. Ursula Says:

Hi Shirley I know what you mean… in Chris’s cheat to loose ebook their is a Low carb Protein shake (with 5g of psyllium husks and 1 tsp of vanilla essence) or this morning I had smoked salmon with cottage cheese and a little lemon juice yum!

  93. Tracey Says:

    Well everyone here goes

Had a free day just before the start of the challenge so the results sound better than they should. I lost from 1/2 to 8/2 2.2kg but if I go from the morning of my free day the day before to 7/2 only 1.1kg but that is still good.

On the firs morning I found out that my new scales that read body fat told me I was too fat (fantastic). I was 6cm too short. Well one week later I am now only 4cm too short (don’t know how much body fat I have lost as I can’t work it out myself but it is looking better all the time).

I’ve been really good had a concert to go to on Friday with a Meet & Greet after the M&G we headed over the road for dinner before the concert and I had Chicken salad. If it was anyother time I proberly would of had the chicken pama!

Keep up the good work everyone

    • Rachel L Says:

I had the same thing with the scales that I owned previously to my current ones. Seems like anything over 30% on some machines wont register, my partner was in the 20’s on it and it read fine. Do you have scales you can use anywhere else?

  94. Lyn Says:

    Hi All,
Am loving the challenge and no Karen W, you are not the oldest, I am 60.
Lost 500g last week, was ill and on antibiotics. However I am a slow, steady loser and that is fine with me. The body fat is going down and the muscle% up and this is good!

Can I ask your opinion? Have a lower back injury, am 60 years as well, and find the squats not so great. Water ski squat is not bad, probably do not go down very far but do the best I can. The other squat is harder and have given the lunge the flick as it is too hard on my back. Guess my question is, is it necessary to do all the exercises in the exercise bank or as long as you do each plane of movement is it OK to pick and choose. The upright row is much nicer than the shoulder press!!

Have been doing the bs exercises since they first came out but with bt eating. Now I am challenging myself both with bs eating and by progressing through the resistance levels. Think I had got a little easy on myself, but I am changing that. Up to black and yellow for most and did my first red/black today, but only for UH row mid point.

Everyone is so keen, it is great to read the wonderful, positive replies.

  96. Eva Samson Says:

Hello to everyone taking up the BS challenge, Wow what a first week, I was very sore after doing my first day of the bands. By week 2 it feels wonderful to feel buzzing with life in my muscles again! My 21year old is doing this with me and is my buddy, however I am inspired by all of the efforts of everyone doing the 6 week challenge. Well done to all, keep on slimming and toning. I am thrilled about the loss I have had. I started out at 103.4 kg and after doing 3 protein days prior to starting on Feb 1st the body sculpt competition, I have been in the zone with BS nutrition and now weigh in at 98 kg. Keep on slimming, keep on slimming… We can all do it! Love the cheat recipes!

  97. Shannon Says:

I have put on a bit of weight but feel so much better – quite sure put on muscle rather than fat. I have more energy and I can feel a bit of definition. I feel less stressed – I think my Cortisol levels are down. Dont worry about the scales girls. Feels those muscles ! Lets give the boys a run for their money !

  98. Fran Says:

    Hi everyone,

I think this Blogging is grerat! Never been involved with blogging before but finding it very motivating and inspiring.

Lost 2.9 kgs first week. Feel great.

Didn’t started BobySculpt exercises yet as also first week back playing tennis after 3 month off. Diidn’t the boby would handle it all in one week. However have been WALKING WALKING WALKING!!!. Also been very good with drinking lots of water.

Only problem, I had a very busy weekend and seem to have missed a few snacks and gone over my 3 hours between eating. Only realised when completing my food dairy. If I wasn’t keeping a food dairy I would not have known. So listen to Geoff’s audio tapes whenever in car on Monday and back on Track.

Goal this week is to be much better organised with protein snacks over the weekend.

    Have a good week everyone.

  99. Nicky Says:

    Hi everyone,
It is so wonderful to read all the blogs – I feel like you are all my buddies and it is all so inspiring!
I started the bands a week ago today, and BT only a week previuosly.
My first week I lost 2.4kg and was so excited. When the bands came I wasn’t sure if I should convert entirely to BS as with BT it says no other exercise for 4 weeks other than walking is necessary. I decided to keep on with the BT eating plan and 10,000 steps and do the BS 3 times a week and review after 4 weeks. This week I only managed to do the bands twice in between weighs but had a very exhausting day shovelling in the garden in the weekend and kept up with steps thoroughout the week reguardless of the rain. I actually enjoyed the rain walks, nice change from the stiffling heat and humidity we have been having in QLD.
Anyway 2nd weigh in I lost 1kg so am very pleased. 3.4kgs in two weeks. Best thing all week was when my husband cuddled me and said I can’t believe how much weight youv’e lost in such a short time. I had decided not to tell him the figures as he was a little doubting that I could stick to it when he knew that I was starting. Now he is very encouraging and even cutting out a few carbs ( he is very fit and healthy anyway – has a very physical job). I feel strong and postitive that I can really do this now. Can’t wait till those jeans Ive got hanging up have to go the op shop! Wishing everyone a good week, keep slimming!

  100. Rebecca Caldwell Says:

    Hi everyone

Haven’t done as well as I hoped this week, been a bit hard, Husband in hospital with heart problems in Sydney so with worry and travelling 2.5 to 3hrs one way every 2nd or 3rd day I found it hard to be fully committed but he will be out of hospital and back home later this week, so I will be fully committed next week with lots of walking, using the bands, weighing and measuring myself.

    • Rachel L Says:

That’s tough. Make sure you always have snacks with you if you are driving down again, you can always get a cool bag with some ice packs in it or just have non refrigerated snacks like tuna, protein bars and protein cookies. At least with food compliance you are working on 70% of the weight loss equation, that’s still a bonus.

  101. JenniferR Says:

Hi everyone – thanks for your inspirations.

I lost 7kg in 7 months on BT then put on 3 and was not too encouraged by all that. Truthfully, it was only half-implemented BT, couldnt give up the carbs. Now, so far on BS, i’ve lost 2kg in one week – yay!

I couldn’t buy BS fast enough and was therefore fortunate enough to win a one-one talk with Geoff. It’s next week, so i have to make sure i do BS properly! So my diary is very accurate since feb 1 – lol

Geoff was right on it for me when he said it was MOTIVATION that kept people going or lack of it that stopped us. I admit it, i am motivated by the thought of nice food ahead 🙂

Would you believe, today, i had a jumpstart snack of low carb cream cheese (plus a 1/2 tspn french onion soup mix – french onion dip!!!) with carrot sticks and then a lunch of a lamb chop with salsa and melted cheese on top, served with tabouli and a diet coke! Can it get any better than this??

    Thanks for helping me persevere.

    • Rachel L Says:

Youre flying along, no carb is certainly easier than low carb!!

Did you get both the cheat sheets from last week and this week for the jumpstart days?? Some awesome things in there.

  102. Patricia Says:

Hi All, Just to let you know that the scales don’t always show you the obvious, particularly as you get older. At 56 I now feel like 46. Why because my clothes feel better and the exercises are getting easier. But best of all my family have noticed and when I went intersate on the weekend our daughter had noticed how much weight I had lost. I will hang in there and hope in a few weeks the scales will show the difference also.

  103. Maureen Sampson Says:

Just popping in to post my loss. 2.2kg. Yay..tho oddly not motivated this week. Well done everyone. Wouldnt it be good to add up everyones loss at the end. At this rate we might be into tonnage. lol

  104. Sharon H (Feb Top 10er) Says:

    Hi All

    Very inspiring.

Initially my plan was to do BT with the BS epoc exercises (couldn’t handle the thought of no free day). Have lost 3kgs since starting back on the 27th.

Yes you guessed it. The exercises have yet to happen – start today!!
My last baby started her first full day at kindy today…….. In my mind this was my day to start by having uniterupted time to watch the dvd and do the exercises.

I watched dvd 1 yesterday and decided that the bodysculpt nutrition wasn’t actually that different to what I am doing anyway, that it is more a block in my head about the free day….. so today I am officially bodysculpting the ‘whole way” haha. Plus as someone earlier in the blog said, Geoff’s enthusiasm is contagious.

I will not blog for long as I need to go do the exercise dvd, and if i sit here too long it will be time to go pick the kids up and another day will be gone.

Just wanted to say well done and hang in there to all. Geoff has a good programme that works if we follow it, and as he said “What’s 42 days”??

Good luck and God Bless us all

    • Brian Stewart Says:

      Good Onya Sharon.

Great to see you here in the blog and good luck with Sculpt. You know you can do it!!!!!

  105. JENNY Says:

haven’t lost on the scales but clothes aren’t so fitting…thankgoodness.

    • Rachel L Says:

That seems to be a common theme around the blogs this week, lots of people building muscle so the scales wont talk to them with the words they want to hear!!!

Obviously your clothes are going to be a good indicator. 🙂

  106. Lesley Says:

    Love the recipes!
Lost 1.5kg first week. Feeling good.
Nothing happened for a few days then it came off. Trying to get up early to get in all my steps each day but haven’t suceeded yet. How much time does it take to do the steps. I brought a pedimeter but it doesn’t seem to be working properly. Usually do 1/2 hour to 3/4 hr each night.

    • Amanda G Says:

      Hi Lesley,
I have found that if I walk for 50 min I notch up about 6000 to 6500 steps. Nothing worse than your pedometer not working properly, absolutely heart breaking! Make sure it is always the right way up ( this is not as silly as it sounds, if your waist band rolls down you’re screwed!), it also needs to be in line with one of your legs at waist level. Do you wear it all day? I am a chef and am very lucky to do between 7000 and 10000 steps at work so usually my walk is a bonus. It is supprising the number of steps involved in just walking to the shops. Good luck

      • Lesley Says:

I will try putting it at the side of my waist. I usually have it about the middle of my waist and that maybe the problem. I have been wearing it all day but the other day it said that I had only walked about 160 Steps!!! On sunday I walked for 3/4 hr in morning then another 1/2 hr in the evening as well as the ususal stuff during the day and I got to 10,000. So I was wondering if that was what I need to do. Thanks for the advise.

      • Lesley Says:

Sorted out the pedometer and already done over 10000 steps today.

  107. PAUL C Says:

Just got my pack. Doesn’t matter as my wife got hers last week. We started on the first and are in it to the end. The scales ares looking good but for me its all in the clothes…. they are looser and I’m more comfortable. Carbs are really just the fillers, bulking out or the stuff that carries the flavour of the good tasty food. I want the tasty good stuff and out with the bulk.

  108. Nikki Says:

Hi everyone, this is my first blog – so not sure if I’m doing it right !!! After my first week of BS – I feel awesome. Too scared to weigh myself though as I don’t want to get disheartened if I haven’t lost any weight. People have commented though on how good I’m looking. More importantly – feeling great !
Love the no carbs, finding thhat easier than BT. As well as loving the band exercises. Had really sore legs after my first squat session – could hardly walk for 3 days !!! Feeling good now.
Good luck everyone – keep going !

  109. djdave Says:

I actually started the BS challenge a week early. As soon as I got the bands. I could not wait a week more. I lost three kilos in the first week and then 1 kilo in the second week. But have noticed more in my clothes and work belt. I prefer the BS Diet Than the BT, being a carb addict, that toast or fruit in the morning made staying compliant a bit tougher. And I used to ‘pig out’ big time on my free day. I do love cheese and nuts so the jump start days are perfect, And I get 2 a week. Have also found a love for walking .One hour every day local and special trips on Sundays. Last sunday went to Carrington falls and a 5 kmtre bush walk. Though the leeches did make the walk back a lot faster. A bit down at the moment. Slightly strained my knee doing squats and now Gout has set in my knee. Hopefully Meds will clear it up in a few days.I Have never been so comfortable and committed with a weght loss journey before. 2010 will be mine and I am confident your year as well. Thanks to Geoff and Bodytrim
    Dave

  110. Angela G Says:

Feel like i’m doing the right things so far. only got BS this week in the mail so i feel a little beheind. First work out was half in the mornin and half in the arvo. Not in any rutin yet. Wine still a problem, and maybe portions. Also those negative times in a normal day eg fight with hubby…. I can feel my -outlook – body chemistry – change. This is not good for weight loss, but i will keep on keeping on.
Lois are you out there. I need a buddy. have change from Angela to Angela G because there are 2 Angela’s.

  111. Terri Says:

    Hi all,
Well I’ve made a start with minor hiccups & feeling great excersising again, but like some of the others i don’t have big weight losses either. Think I need to concentrate on just getting on with it, forget the scales & hopefully in a few weeks SUPRISE as inches are lost.
Good luck & if anyone has any great secrets let us know.

  112. Pauline Says:

    Hi everyone
At the moment I am away from home so unable to weigh in. But thats not worrying me. I am still sticking to the diet, snacks, 2-3 ltrs water and doing the bands on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays.
Am feeling so good and my clothes are fitting me a lot easier. That to me is a good sign.
I also am sleeping a lot better then before I started on the challenge which is great.
Keep up the good work everyone. Thank you all for the comments made on this site. It really does help to keep me motivated to read everyones s
    journey on this challenge.

  113. faye clarke Says:

ive been on body trim for 4 weeks now i lost 2kl in the first week but since then ive only lost .6 every week since then been drinking the water doing the 10,000 steps is any one else only losing little bits at a time

  114. wendy Says:

Sounds like I need to get those bands out and find out how they work! Weight loss is slow when you’re 51 but hey I am losing! Hopefully with thebands it will speed up a bit! I have been doing BT still so now is the time for BS and the jump start method!

    Good luck to you all!!

  115. wendy Says:

I have a quick question. I remember reading that while on this challenge we can get a discount on purchasing he protein powder. Is this correct? Does anyone know the code to use when ordering online?

    Thanks

    • Kris Says:

it is in the challenge info pack.. up on the right side of the screen, just under the e-lessons. it is 25% discount ! YAH YAH

  116. Linda.F Says:

After week 1 I am feeling disappointed. I have been following my food routine, walking between 12000 & 15000 steps a day and drinking 3+ litres of water. I gained weight, my work pants feel so tight at the end of the day that it is uncomfortable and I am losing faith. I have done well on BT before, so why is it not working this time? I am using the bands on Mon, Tues & Weds (those shoulder presses KILL!)
    Can anyone shed any light?

    • Rachel L Says:

Did you take your pre challenge photo, measurements and body fat? You could just be a bit bloated for other reasons and your other measurements could have gone down, so could your body fat. With muscle weighing more than fat, this could certainly be the case.

Give it until the end of week 2 and see how you go then. If you are still gaining but not reducing in clothes then I’d send your food journal to the Bodytrim for advice.

    • Deidre Holland Says:

Hi there. You should be having at least a days rest between each band workout. And try and mix up the days a bit to trick your body. Also if your eating more greens than usual maybe you’re bloated. Don’t give up yet I haven’t lost any weight yet but I’m determined to stick to it!

  117. Linda.F Says:

OOPs, make that I am using my bands on Mon, Weds & Friday. My jumpstart days are Weds & Saturday.

    • Rachel L Says:

Also, your jumpstart days should have 3 full days between them meaning they can’t fall on the same days each week.

      Eg.

      umpstart – Sat
      normal BS – Sun
      normal BS – Mon
      normal BS – Tues
      jumpstart – Wed
      normal BS – Thurs
      normal BS – Fri
      normal BS – Sat
      jumpstart – Sun

I’m leaving mine as Wed and Sat because I don’t want to loose Sat as a jumpstart day but I lost weight and had looser pants at the end of Week 1, had I not have though I’d consider changing my jumpstart days to comply with the 3 days inbetween rule.

      • LINDA Says:

Just to add to that and not to confuse but according to the “cheat to lose” article in Chris’ weekly food diary jumpstart days are only 2 full days apart???not sure if an extra day makes too much difference or not though.

  118. Paul Daniel Says:

    Hi Everyone,
Hope it is all going smoothly, and no smoothies!
First week was amazing, lost 3 kg initially though 1 crept back.
I was amazed though how strong I was at resisiting any form of sweet,
as I said last its being accountable.

Got to totally agree with Geoff on environment.
I cleaned my cupboards out when I started BT last year, and now when the late night muncies hit as they do if I cant sleep I have to choose between tuna or tuna, though an almond may sneek in.

Unfortunately I have just been out of town 3 days at a 50th. I was SO determined to be strong and the first day I was amazed, but the second day the left over cakes and chocolates that everyone around me was devouring and the total lack of sleep and change of routine I was toast!!
No I didnt eat any good carbs, just the chocolates and cake, Bugger!!

Back home again and Going straight back into a 3day carb detox, I know this should put me back on track, Yes I took the bans and didnt miss Monday session. SO environment is a HUGE help I gues is what I am saying. So if any one else has party out of town, can I suggest they dont stay away tooo long!!!

    Cheers

    Paul

  119. Pagey Says:

My biggest problem is the supermarket, I walk in and have to will myself passed the cakes, chocolates, icecreams, chips, biscuits. Just keep going I tell myself. I’m gonna really try these 6 weeks and see what results I get.

  120. Gaby D Says:

first week, and have managed to lose 1kg,
But i was still pretty bad,in the sense that i went to a wedding, and had quite a few drinks. I did dance my ass off though! 🙂

The only problem the next 3 days, was so tired and busy. That i snacked on protein and at times carbs, AT THE WRONG TIMES OF THE DAY!. So i ended up putting on back the 1kg.

I am still detemined to the challenge, and to get back on track.
Can’t afford to screw it up again!

  121. Jacqui Challen Says:

    Hi All !

Week 1 saw me lose just 5cm, and half a kg, but I’m happy with that – It’s a loss and as long as that keeps going, then I must be doing the right thing. Am still missing something sweet but will make some of the new recipes in the cheat to lose book from last week. B ands ared going well, but the squat is so hard – I find I need another band though as I don’t feel supported on just the one.

    • katie Says:

      hello jacqui

hi i am finding it hard to keep to the diet not that i have cravings at all but just am finding it hard to eat with the family and not have any carbs.
cause all they eat is potoes rice and pasta . so am trying my best

  122. Hollie Clapham Says:

I have lost 4kgs in these past two weeks, starting a week earlier than the challenge starting date. To be honest my environment has been difficult for me to be good, have cheated a couple of times. As being awake late at night is a big weakness for me when it comes to food, my whole family is eating differently from me so there is always non-Bodysculpt compliant food in the fridge and cupboards. Working in a pizza place still being difficult. Also just started making new friends who invited me out for drinks last thursday so I joined them because I’ve never had much of a social life and am working to get one now.

  123. Kerrie Says:

Have tried some of the new cheat recipes from week one, they are fantastic, haven’t lost any weight as per scales but my clothes feel looser and I am changing shape around the trunk, thighs and butts, I am wrapped.

  124. Linda.F Says:

    Thanks Rachel L,
So far I have just used the 1st week as per the sample menu in the BS book. I copied it & put it on the fridge so I could see a variation in the days and follow a guideline. I have taken my before photo, but I was going to weigh & measure fortnightly…might change that. I will make sure to leave 3 days in between my jumpstart days. I drink the majority of my water at work, but I work in customer service & spend most of my day behind a busy counter serving customers. This could account for some of the bloated feeling. I have done my bands this morning, so lets get cracking on that weight loss!! Thanks

  125. megan Says:

I have been so busy organising starting my own business that i didn’t even look at the email on 25/1 and now feel like crap that i’ve missed the 1st 2wks, i’m the kind of person that wants to get in straight away and get started so feeling peeved with myself, i have been pretty good with my eating etc so and going to say i started on monday just gone as have been doing the BS programme anywayz, this blog is great and like other people i don’t usually post comment but hey i’m going to this time, i luv the positive vibe!!!

  126. Belinda J Says:

    Hi everyone,
My husband and I started BT on Monday so we’re still doing carb detox. Feeling really good now but spend all day in bed yesterday with a migraine! Didn’t manage 10000 steps yesterday but today and Monday I went for a half hour walk after dropping off the kids.
2KG down on the scales and I’m really starting to feel great. Looking forward to some carbs tomorrow though.
    Good luck everyone!!!!

  127. Fiona Says:

    Hi everyone,

I started Bodytrim back in Oct and had a fantastic result loosing 12kg – averaging almost 1kg a week incorporating Xmas. So very happy, I have just started my 3rd wk on Body Sculpt and have noticed that the loss has slowed down to .4kg & .5kg. Just curious to know if that’s normal as Im close to my goal weight and have obviously increased my exercise with EPOC 3 x week???

    • Lisa Says:

      Hi Fiona

This would be pretty standard if you are close toyur goal weight. Just keep it up and you will reach it than YAHHHOOOOO. Celebrate.

  128. Jane Says:

Hi everyone I am on the BT programme and taking part in the challenge more for the support of the group and to hopefully keep me on track. Like most of us (I expect) I have been down the weight loss route so often I should print a map which would be full of wrong turns and dead ends, but this time I have approached this with a whole new mind set. I have decided for me it is not about will power but actually about acceptance. In order to be slimmer and healthier I have to accept that I cannot “diet like crazy”then fall back into all the old habits. If I eat cake, chocolate, chips etc etc without restraint I will stay fat – if I eat a healthy diet I will lose weight and stay slim. I accept that as a fact. Its only taken 30 years as I have been overweight since I hit my twenties and been a fully paid up member of the yo club during that time. Good luck to everyone and thanks for all the tips etc.

  129. Lexxie Couper Says:

Getting there. I must admit, I’ve surprised myself how easy it is to do the 10,000 steps a day (sometimes I make it without even going for a planned walk – chasing my tearaway daughters may hae something to do with this) and getting up at 5:30am three days a week to do the EPOC sessions is easier than I thought (I actually look forward to it 🙂 )

Made the silly mistake of buying new scales two days ago which seem to read completely different to the ones I started BS and BT on. According to my old scales I’m now 77.5 kgs (a loss of 2 kgs in the 1st week) but the new scales tell me I’m 78.6. Argh! LOL

What worries me is the dietry resistrictions. I LIVED for my free days on the BT program. I didn’t go silly on those days, but I really looked forward to being able to have pizza or chinese or even a Tim Tam or two for dessert. I hope my will power holds out for the next 5 weeks. I spent probably a good 30 minutes last night craving a slice of watermelon.

But apart from my food worries, I’m going well. And damn, does it feel good to walk down the hallway and feel my jeans slip down my hips!!!

  130. Hayley Fiegert Says:

Been going ok, but had my daughters birthday yesterday so I snuck in a bit of cake mix & icing and a chocolate crackle and some cake. been very good otherwise. I can’t believe how I can resist the chocolate & lollies now. I don’t even look for them! That is the best part! Weight loss has slowed down a little so I need to remember things like 3hour rule. Need to walk even if the weather is hot! Hope my weight loss picks up as I am looking forward to shopping for a new wardrobe in a few weeks when we head to Adelaide.

  131. Edith Says:

I am struggling to get going. missed my walking routine due to job interviews. Getting a little fuzzy about what to eat on BS. and
Is there a pamflet to stick on the wall with the band exercises to do ??
The fibre thing is an issue as i don’t eat fruit as i like my bread best in the mornings. damn sorry guys. although the first few days was great i lost 1.2kg yeah!!

    • Lisa Says:

      Hi edith

I use “Benefibre”. You just get it from the chemist and mix it in water. It tastes like nothing and it seems to work. Hope this helps.
      Lisa

  132. Suzanne M Says:

    Hi Fiona,
Congratulations on your results so far, I too started in October and have lost 10 kgs and have 11kgs to go. First week of body sculpt I only lost 20g, I’ll be interested to see what it this Sunday. The thing you have to remember is that in the three weeks on BS you are building up muscle which weighs more than fat. Don’t concentrate on the weight so much but the cms you are loosing and how you clothes feel. Have you measured yourself since you started BS you might be in for a big surprise. Since starting BT and measuring for start of BS I have lost a total of 33cm, and don’t I know it my clothes are falling off me and I am enjoying all the compliments, to me far more important than sweating over a slower weight loss. Keep on track and let us know how you go. Suzanne

  133. Penelope Says:

Happy to you all that have the weight reduction, BUT i have not reduce any weight or cms. Feel good about my eating plan and just fit my bands into 30 mins and walk 60 mins a day. I am still motivated, I know this has to work.

  134. Nardia Says:

    HI guys

Finding things tough on the WII fit doing my steps walking getting all that stuff done having a hassle getting myself motivated to get into the bands (have it booked in this week)
Had been doing bodytrim and lost a bit but put it back on over christmas not just due to eating but due to a lot of stress. Those stresses still there trying to deal with those but back on eating the right way.
I am guessing the stress is the reaspon I am not losing anything is really frustrating am trying to get myself away from the stresses but finding it all a bit hard.
Going to rewatch all the DVD’s again see if I can get myself going again and not stressing as much Geoff has a way to make you forget all the other stuff happening.
    wish me luck !!!
BTW still needing a buddy if anyone still free!!

  135. Megan Says:

    Hi all,

Like some here – I have tackled weight loss with BT before, and had some good results – but “fall off the wagon” and the cycle begins – I’m not talking about a gain in double digits even but I just can’t seem to get rid of this 5 Kgs and keep them lost.

So got all enthusiastic to start last week – and have no idea what went wrong – had a business dinner on the first night last Monday, and lost all control – now I can’t get my brain back into gear. Seem to spiral into a depressing slump and just refused to get back on track!!!!!

So – – off on the journey again tomorrow! I’ve got some will power and conviction from reading these blogs- thanks heaps guys – those with great successes and those will small loses.

My fridge is full of the right stuff (from last weeks shop!!)- and just polised off the last Lindt in the cupbboard!!

    • Lisa Says:

      Hi Megan

You can do it girl. Like Geoff says this week, just clean up your environment and remove all the temptations. If you need ot, don’t look at it as a 6 week challange – take it day by day. Then, before you know it 7 days is gone and you will be seeing results to motivate you into the next block of days.

I only have about 4-5kgs to lose as well. But be buggered if I am going to let a few moments of tasting pleasure blast away all my hardwork that I have put in for the rest of the week. So great that after your blow out that you have picked up the pieces and are ready to hot foot it back on this journey. Having a lapse in will power or what ever you want to call it does not mean that you have blown the whole challenge. Yuo just get back onto it and make the rest of it work as I am sure you will. Be kind to yourself and you will succeed.

We are all sulpting together and you are not in this alone.

Make sure you let us know how you go by the end of the week.

      Cheers Lisa

  136. Brooklyn Says:

Wow everyone is really doing well and right into the exercise….. I’m not that motivated in the exercise department just yet! What kind of walking are you all doing to get 10,000 steps every day?? It seems so huge I don’t know where I’ll fit it in!!
The eating has been easy but I’ve slipped now to not preparing much food, just grabbing some eggs here and tuna or chicken there, not having much else with it. Definately feel like i need a boost back into it!
Had some great results week 1, just need to keep organised and strict with the times to keep on track I think.
I’m free Nardia if you like! My husband is following the program as well but he sticks to these things so easily and the weight just falls off him!! Would be nice to be doing it with someone who struggles just like me!

  137. Jenny H Says:

    Hi Everyone,

BS isa great I have never felt better. No carb craving & feeling on top of the world. Losing about 1 kg a week & cms of my problem areas. I just need to get my stomach bulge gone.

  138. Jenni Says:

Hi my internet has been down since we started but i have been keeping on track. So good to read how every one is going, I have missed the videos but like the new recipes, I have lost 1 kg . the first time that i have lost that in a week.Great stuff

  139. Teena Says:

Wow! The BS program is working great. I can’t believe how much energy I have. I feel like I could walk for hours! I feel so good… My clothes are feeling looser. I feel fantastic!

The first 3 days was the hardest, as my body was aching all over, but now… I feel like a new person. I’m so glad I decided to give BS ago.

  140. Jacqy Says:

Was doing pretty well (2 kg in Week 1) but seriously struggling with no fruit. I love fruit. Last night I ended up bringing home left-over pizza (for my partner, of course). After I’d eaten the top off my slice and had a glass of wine (another item I struggle to do without), I couldn’t resist some nuts.. Not really bad at that stage but then I got into the ‘well I’ve broken it now, is there anything else I’ve been craving? May as well have it now’. Does anyone else do that?

So out came the ice cream I’ve been watching my partner eat night after night, then some raisins because I didn’t have any fruit (I was under control when I put those nectarines back at the supermarket).

In a way I felt relieved. Much as I love protein, I am finding it really hard to live on – with veggies, of course. Today has got back on track although I probably did my jump start last night!

I really appreciate all your blogs. Thanks everyone. Hang in there. I’m sure it’s all going to be well worth it.

  141. Pamela Says:

Hello All. Interesting to read the blogs. I started early also had a good first week (3kg) but a very ordinary 2nd due to my lack of using the bands and a few food extras – stayed the same weight-wise but when I measured there were improvements in measurements. Guess its just a matter of plugging away. Good lesson about making the environment helpful. Jacqui I also adore fruit and I am allowing myself some fine slices of lemon and dip them in sweetener. Just gives a tangy taste and vitamin C. Also I add lemon to my black tea. I think taking a multivitamin is helpful too. Its only for another few weeks so I can walk past the fruit section at the supermarket. Lets keep on going!

  142. Lisa Jones Says:

    Hi everyone

Never felt so inspired about losing weight before. Having an opportunity to blog, read other peoples high’s and low’s really keeps me going. I started the programme 2 weeks ago and I can tell you today I am 3 kilos lighter and fast approaching my first goal of getting below 100kgs and staying there. This is something I have struggled with since my second child and another few life issues that held me back.

Blogging to me is bringing back alot of memories from my uni days, I was a matured aged student and I needed all the support I could get. I studied externally, had my family and job to contend with. Having the support from my external friends….emailing, blogging on the net was my motivation.

Thanks for your support BodyTrim, Body sculpt team….your ideas, e-lesson, blogging have been an inspiration to us all.

    • Peta Knight Says:

      Hi Lisa,
Well done.I started BT last year and went from115 to 81kg. Hit a big hump and in the 6 months following put on 15kg. I’m back on track and I know getting under that 100kg mark is such a wonderful feeling. Give yourself 5kg targets as it does not sound so much to lose at once. If you gave yourself a 40kg target it feels like you will never get there. It works for me and doesn’t sound so daunting.YOU GO GIRL. I’m on your side

  143. Jacqy Says:

Thanks for your comments Pamela. I usually start the day with water and a little lime or lemon juice and will try your suggestion. I live in the Tropics so it is a constant challenge to avoid our home grown beautiful fresh red paw paws, creamy little sugar bananas, and luscious giant Panama passionfruit.

BUT I am feeling lighter and fitter by the day so that helps keep the motivation going – as does the knowledge that so many of us are doing it together!

  144. Paul Daniel Says:

    Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say that even when I eat only protein and leafy greens, which is basically always now the thing that REALLY burns the weight is the DELIBERATE WALK each day. No matter how tired I might be or how late I do a 1/2 hour BRISK walk.

I know I need to cut down on my portion sizes still. A fist of chicken or meat still doesnt cut it. I am a half to 3/4 chicken guy! I am thinking once I shrink my stomach a little, the portions will come into line, eg my morning omelettes are now 3 eggs and used to 4.

Also once a dedicated 3 day carb detox is done the carb cravings DO reduce, ( and I have been an emotional comfort eater for years, it has faded). I learnt the hard way after many 3 day detoxes that there was sugar in some of the sauces I thought were OK to include. Man SUGAR is insidious how is laced through WAY to much food. Eg who’d have thought soya suace or lot of curries had sugar?? Those food labels are REALLY helpful if you want to totally carb detox.

    OK I’m raving,

    Goodluck

    Paul

  145. Deidre Holland Says:

I’M OVER EATING! No, not eating too much, just tired a preparing something to eat every 3 hours! I feel like I’m constantly eating even when I’m not even hungry, keeping to this 3 hour rule is going to be a challenge. Haven’t lost any weight this week – I think I may hide the scales so I don’t get pysched out – I feel smaller, so I weigh myself, but no change. I only took my measurements last Friday so I will measure again tomorrow – everyone cross your fingers for me. I’m determined to stick to this (been 100% committed) til the end. Somethings got to budge – eventually! Start weight 68kg and 34% body fat – goal weight 60kg or 25% body fat – I don’t care if I don’t get lighter as long as the flabby bits are gone, gone, GONE! Jumpstart day today YAY and sculpt session tonight.

  146. Denise Bartlett Says:

    Hi everyone,
It’s great to read how everyone else is managing. I have had the Bodysculpt box for about 2 months and have finally opened it!!!! I believe it works much better that way!! Geoff, I really enjoy your enthusiasm and positive approach. I had already lost 20kgs on Bodytrim and had a little ‘rest’ over Christmas but am now on the challenge. I started on February 1st and lost 3 kgs in the first week!! WOW. I am looking forward to being ‘sculpted’

  147. Wendy Greenaway Says:

I started the BS a week earlier than the challenge date with the greatest willpower I have ever had. First week was fantastic and I felt on top of the world. I had to go away for three days to a family get together and it fell to bits. I was so sure I could stick to my plan but all my family made me feel quilty for not joining in with them to celebrate my Dad’s 80th Birthday. I gave in and ate quite a lot of bad food over the three days. When I returned home I felt so bad about myself that I continued to eat the wrong thing not able to find my strength again. I am so angry at myself for letting it all fall apart after such a great start. I have no one to blame but myself. I have now finally talked myself back to the task at hand thanks to reading other peoples comments and gaining strength from them. I don’t have a great deal to lose as I am the lightest I have been since my late teens due to being on BT. I need to get rid of the flabby bits left and I just want to feel good about myself. My biggest challenge is to keep it off and stop the lifelong yo yo dieting. Why is so hard to get back on track when you fall off. I am having trouble eating the vegetables that are allowed. I really miss fruit, pumkin and potato. I’m glad to read other people have similar problems. Well done everyone for your great effort. It really does help motivate me to keep going and acheive my goals.

    • Suzzi Says:

      Hey Wendy
Ive been in BT/BS since may 09, the one thing I found is it is quite a forgiving system. When I breakout eat too much and gain a couple of kilos, I can useally quite easily limit the damage quite quickly, I dont get mad at myself anymore because I know deep down the damage is easily repairable. I tend to veiw BS/BT as a lifestyle change, not a diet. Diets conjure up a feeling of depravation, which is why you feel it is so hard to get back on to, embrace the lifestyle forget the word diet and most of all dont be too hard on yourself, you will get to the place you want to go to but you may have to take a few detours on the way!!!! I know I have
Good Luck with the rest of the challange.

  148. Karen Parkinson Says:

    hi all,

am really enjoying this challenge – lost 3 kg in the first week and have been finding the BS workout gets easier as you go. Could only just manage 20 reps of each exercise but now aiming for 30!

Have had a few slip ups – chai lattes are a big weakness and i have had the odd few! BUT i would usually have them with cake and have managed not to eat the cake – so that is an achievement.

I do find it hard sometimes to stick to the 3 hr rule. I eat breakfast at about 6.15-6.30 am and start work at 7. Morning tea is not til about 10.30 and even if i take a snack i am sometimes too busy to eat! This can happen in the afternoons also. But i am trying…

Thanks Geoff for all your positivity – it goes long way!

  149. Sue Says:

    Hi everyone,

I can’t believe how good I feel after nearly two weeks. The changes to my body are starting to become noticeable and I’ve lost 2.5kgs. I feel great and haven’t really felt the need to be eating any junk! Let’s hope that lasts….!!

I am finding it a little difficult to stick to the 3 hr rule but that’s mostly when I’m at work and lose track of the time.

I am enjoying the bands and I think they are making a difference so I’m looking forward to the results after the 6 weeks!

    Have a great day everyone!

  150. Sharon Says:

    Hello,

This is my first week of BodySculpt and I’m feeling great. My energy levels are higher than they been in a long time and I’m eating more food and losing weight to boot.
i’m looking forward to trying some of the recipes in the Cheat to Lose booklet.
    Have a great week.

  151. Akasha Says:

I am loving these recipes, will be trying out the chicken snitzel one for sure this week.

  152. Lisa Says:

Hi everyone bit late with my first blog. Very happy with my results so far 3kg in 8 days. Haven’t weighed myself since as I get very annoyed with my self if I don’t see the numbers go down. Am doing the photo thing every week to see the change & can’t wait to see the results after the 6 weeks. I do struggle with the constant protein & was thinking about getting the protein powder but can someone tell me how often we can have this. I know Geoff says that there is no subsitute for real food but I was just wondering how often we can use it. Aslo are we ok to use the BT pre packaged meals during the normal BS days or just the Kick start days.
With the cheat to win recipes does the tomato paste & tomato sauce have to be in under the 5g of carbs per 100g?

  153. JM2010 Says:

Howdy folks!! Me & my hubby started BS on Monday, & day 5 so far, we’ve done pretty good!! My biggest prob is I can’t get my 10,000 steps a day!! My hubby’s done his every day…up @ 5 & walks on the treadmill an hour. I thought I’d be sweet since I walk to work from station, but after 30 mins on t’mill & walkg to work, I’m only adding up to 5000 a day. By the time I get home from work it’s late & I’m trying to get dinner sorted while hubby bathes kids. So yeah, if I jump on an exercise bike while hubby on the t’mill can I use that as my step ?? hehe.

We’ve been really good with food, & evn my hubby mentioned he feels “better” in general, like stress free since dng BS. I agreed, I feel better too. I saw my sister after only 3 days on BS & she said I looked good & I’ve lost weight…although I don’t know for sure if she only said it coz she just borrowed $20 off me! haha. But yeah, 5 days into BS & I can already fit a suit I felt was too tight for ages!! And I’ve been feeling the burn of the EPOC sessions too, so I’m happy to stay on with this hard out….even after the six weeks. I think the most I fell off the wagon was when I tasted a little Bit of my daughter’s noodles to make sure it wasn’t too hot, then I stopped & went oops. And I ate a strawberry too. Haha. My hubby confessed to having a bite out of a meatball, but that was it!! hehe.

BS has also brought me & hubby some QT together in the mornings when we exercise, so that’s just another bonus of Bodysculpt 🙂 Ok everyone, be good for the weekend!! My first weigh-in is Monday & I can’t wait!!

  154. Tina W Says:

I still can’t find the section to upload our before photos. Anyone got any hints on that….I looked under the Welcome bit on the home page but I can’t see anything that says email?

    • Deb B Says:

      Hi there Tina,
I cant find where to upload the before photos either. Have you had any luck yet??? Getting worried as our photo is supposed to be by tomorrow. HELP

      • Tina W Says:

no I haven’t Deb and am worried too due to the deadline…will let you know if I do – will try again now.

      • Rachel L Says:

The rules and regulations say that the photo must be taken before tomorrow but not submitted. Here’s a copy and paste.

  155. Cheryl Randall Says:

    Hi Everyone
Just had to do a quick blog tonight it is 10-45pm and just arrived home from a POST-Christmas (we were ALL too busy before Christmas) BBQ and I am so proud of myself. I took along my speciality creamy garlic potato bake PLUS ALL the leftover Christmas yummies including Sour Cream and Onion Chips, Prawn and Crab Meat Dip and water crackers, Choc covered almonds and saltanas and my all time favourite Choc mints. AND I did NOT succum to ANY of them NOT ONE saltana or chip or cracker OR spoonfull of potato bake. It wasn’t easy but I just kept moving AWAY from the nibbles table and kept telling everyone how motivated I am about looking fantastic at our daughter wedding in Fiji in 87 days time. I just ate a small piece of steak and chicken plus some “good” salad and when all the yummy sweets came out (boy my friends are good cooks) I made a cup of coffee and sat at the far end of the table. If not for the “challenge” I know I would have caved so thanks everyone you got me throught what could have been an “expensive” night of over-indulgence.
Regards to all and keep up the good work everyone.

  156. Brooklyn Says:

I’ve been thinking, someone wrote on here that some people at work call her the ‘shrinking lady’?? I WANT TO BE THE SHRINKING LADY TOO!!! Hahahahaha!! It’s my inspiration !! Would love some ice cream right now, but am drinking more water and I know this craving will pass. It’s not actually a craving I just want some! And maybe a tim tam…… water water water!! I am the shrinking lady!!!

  157. Linda McLeish Says:

Well into week one and off to shops parked as far away from centre entry as possible when I left there was a deluge so was totally soaked by the time the groceries were in the car oh well steps are through the roof so what’s a little water between friends! Good luck to all we are on a great trip here’s hoping that we all make it to where we want to be

  158. Sheree Says:

I have really struggled this week to even get my steps in and haven’t done bands session yet as have been really really tired and no energy, trying hard to follow the BS nutrition. Because im feeling tired I know that is the reason I not completely focusing on the challenge. Been a hot and humid week here which is also draining. Reading all the blogs helps to motivate me and Geoff’s lessons. I need to make the time to log on earlier in the week. Today is the day to get serious about the challenge the new recipes sound great.

  159. Julie Says:

Silly me attempted the start last week and then got sick and could barely swallow so that went out the window. Started in ernest on Tuesday and then was talked into hungry jacks last night which made me feel sick afterward and then I cried. Forgot to weigh myself too before I started and take measurements so I have no idea whats happening with my body. Have done the bands twice already this week and I am on my second jumpstart day today and have a baby shower to go to. Not sure if I can be strong but will try to be as I will only be cheating myself. Also started yoga this week which I think will help with the core strength which I need after 2 c-sections. Hopefully I can get some results next week and be stong. Its great having support from you guys. Keep up the good work.

  160. Roxanne Says:

I am really struggling for motivation – I need to lose weight as I currently weight 135kgs. I have a heal spur which is causing me no end of pain – therefore doing 10000 steps is not going to happen. Did to the bands the other day, but only did 1 set and thought this is not working, but obviously it does reading everyone elses blog and the success they all have had is fantanstic. I can only hope that next week I too can post a positive note. If anyone has any really good motivating tips for me to get started that would be very much appreciated, becuase I am always going to start on Monday………

I applaude everyone doing the 6 wk BS challenge, which I too am registered to do, and sincerely wish everyone every inch of success.

    • Jenni Says:

      Hi Roxanne,

keep on going even if it feels like baby steps this program will work wonders for you and it will stay off if you just keep getting back onto the program No MATTER what you have done pick yourself up and get back on it.
Over 2 years i have slowly lost 18 kgs . It was slow but steady and I feel so much better, I do not know of anyone else that has been this slow and I do not mind being the only one . Each New Year I have been kgs lighter than the year before so If i keep it up I will make it.
This 6 weeks is to really get the body moving weight faster so I can be like the ones losing at least ! kg a week. I have my first week I am looking fwd to Monday to see this week.
The bands are wonderful for your core and will MAke walking easier when your spur clears up. It would take me longer to do the progema to start with with all the band changing and waiting but as i have got going it is easier, the first time is always the hardest,
remember Geof watches the news while he is doingit . watch or listen to your favourite programor music. and hang in there.
GO FOR IT ROXANNE YOU DESERVE IT. WE ALL DO AND THANKS TO GEOFF AND kRIS WE HAVE A DOABLE PROGRAM.

    • Brendan Says:

      Hi Roxanne,

What Jenni said is right. This is your weight journey, you do what works for you. Even in you can only walk 1km round trip with your heel spur every bit helps. And remember 70% of the weight loss equation is what you EAT!!

    • Criss Says:

Hi Roxanne, yeh can relate, I have had a sore/ painful akilis heel for 1.5 years now gone to heaps of experts to no avail, well my wife & daughter prayed for my heel as we are christians, & the same day I had less pain then ever before , so go for it Criss.

  161. Roxanne Says:

Thanks jenni, for your words of wisdom and encouragement, maybe that is all I need, cause i actually sat down and worked out in the BS diary which days will be EPOC days and which days will be my jumpstart days, i will be off to a slow start with only 4 weeks of the challenge left, but if i only lose 1kg a week then that is 4 kg lighter than i am today. And you are right Jenni, I DO DESERVE THIS…… and all the best for your journey to.

  162. Wanda Says:

Have been reaching between 10 / 15 thousand steps each day over the past week.. BUT still not losing much weight.. Have been doing the bands and eating all the right food. So who know’s what’s going on.!!!
All I know is that I am going to stick to this.. Yep, I am in this for the long haul.. I have 34 kilos to lose and I will lose every kilo. I don’t care how long this will take..
Just by eating all the right food I have even noticed that my skin feels smoother.
Remember there is no such thing as a looser..

  163. JM2010 Says:

Aaaarrggghhhh….I want ice-cream or chocolate but I’m going to sleep to avoid ruining the whole week. My weigh in is tomorrow so hopefully that’ll keep me in check!! Ok, goodnight.

  164. ktb2010 Says:

I have one major question. What can I do when I have 2 toddlers at home & there is yummy food everywhere????? There’s yummy things in the fridge, in the cupboard & the freezer. I have to make nice foods for them to eat each day & I can’t eat any of it 😦 I can’t throw everything out during the challenge because it is for my kids. My motivation has totally disappeared! I lost 12kg before christmas & since then I have just ruined it all. I haven’t put the weight back on but I am eating all the wrong things, have stopped exercising & I just can’t get back into it. HELP HELP HELP I am so close to my goal weight now (Goal is 55kg) (only 4kg to go) and I really want to tone my mummy tummy. I was so dedicated before christmas & never gave in to temptation, now I am the complete opposite. I have started this challenge twice now, tomorrow will be my 3rd & final attempt to get on track with this challenge. Wish me luck!! 🙂

  165. Akasha Says:

    Hi ktb2010,
I have the same problem. I have a 12 month old and a hubby who eats carbs and I am the one who has to do the shopping and cooking for both so I have all the wrong foods in front of me all day. I can`t have a house free of these foods so I do little things like I have a separate section in my pantry for hubbys and my sons snacks, I put this section out of my eye sight in the pantry so when I open it up its not the first thing I see. Instead what I see is my protein snacks. Second thing is I buy just enough for them to eat for the week. Don`t buy extras for them. If you buy just enough for them to eat the thought of helping yourself to there snacks and eating it too is not so tempting when you realise it means that you will have to go down to the shops and stock up on there food again before the next grocery shop. I don`t know about you but I have a 12 month old that I have to carry around everywhere so the thought of having to do the grocery shopping twice is a complete turn off. I understand what you are saying about the motivation slipping and eating the wrong foods over Christmas, I have had the same problem and now I have my work cut out for me in having to work off all the weight that I have put on. But thanks to this challenge I am inspired again and I look forward to trying out these yummy cheat to lose recipes.
    Hope this helps.
    Akasha

  166. Kristina Says:

I have just finished my first week of the challenge and I am happy to report that I lost 3.6kg. I’m enjoying the food and not missing the carbs at all. I still don’t seem to have much energy, not sure if it has to do with running around all day ater a very active toddler or the going to bed late and getting up early and the interrupted sleep of a night. Well I guess it’s onto week 2, bring it on.

  167. Criss Says:

    Hi Geoff.
I try & buy the good food for whole family but they like thier little snack some rubbish not much, thats why my kids are always healthy & hardly go to a doctor so my Wife & I are doing a good job I think.

  168. Leza Says:

What a wonderful program started Monday 15th and am so pumped to see this through and make it to the end.
We blog at the end of week 1 have put up a chart with the 42 days marked on it and am counting down. Also put up a photo of myself on the fridge. Yeah

  169. Veronica Says:

Confused about Chicken Parmigiana! What do you do with the eggs?? Not mentioned in the Method though you list them in ingredients.

  170. Akasha Says:

I think it might be a typo ? I was also wondering where the pizza recipe is that Chris mentioned in the video ?

  171. Cheryl Says:

Hi Everyone, I have just finished my second week and have had a some of challenges. I have been sick, my daughters birthday and another social gathering. I have tried to stay strong through them all, but I did have a small piece of cake with my daughter! I lost 1kg in the first week but not sure about the second as I brought new scales and they say I weigh an extra 1.6kg with a body fat of 30% (In the healthy range at least).

  172. Annie Pannie Says:

HaviHaving a little trouble with this screen so forgive any typos.

Have just completed my first real week on BS. Haven’t yet had time to watch the DVDs in the kit. Started out well with food, walking and bands but as the week went on I fell off the wagon. This is a recurring problem. My partner comes back from his work in Melbourne and wants takeaway, one glass of wine turns into 3, we go up to the Sunshine Coast and my eating and walking and everything goes out of wack. So I pick up the pieces each Monday to find that the kilo I’d lost on Wednesday (I cheated and weighed in mid-week) has been reduced to half a kilo. Why do I keep sabotaging myself? I feel like I’m trying REALLY hard but still manage to come undone at the slightest temptation. It’s so frustrating to devote all this energy to this program only to slip up and go backwards. I do feel a little slimmer though – haven’t taken my measurements.

  173. Louise Says:

Bit slow to write something here have been suffering a back injury and unable to commit myself wholly to the program.

I have managed to continue eating BT style just haven’t been able to do the BS moves to go with it, still losing weight each week so can’t complain. I am becoming more and more convivced about this resting metabolism theory and I like it.

  174. Ann Norman Says:

    Hi everyone,
Congratulations to all who have lost weight & cms.
I too have had a false start to this programme with family “issues” & I will be caring for grandchildren in another state for next two weeks without access to computer, so will be looking forward to catching up on all blogs etc from 15/3/10. I am continueing on, but doing this for myself. Not worried about prize money of this challenge, as I am unable to carry one properly online, but I am determined & I WILL carry on past the finish date, as my challenge is with myself & sticking to the programme. I have previously yo-yo’d, & let myself be led astray with quick carb meals. NO MORE. I will send in my before & after shots. My husband reckons I will give up . Seeing will be believing. I purchased some new clothes 1 size smaller to take on Hols in April/May. If I get this BS done for myself they may be too BIG. Wouldn’t that be great…
I don’t have a buddy either, but as I will only be able to get to a computer up until Monday1/03/10am & then after 15/03/10, I am happy to just share with all of your comments to each other.
    Carry on the good work
    Thanks Geoff for this opportunity
